SOUND AND FOG“It was time to be my own boss,” said the owner of Justin Krebs, Sound and Fog, a new coffee shop/beer and wine bar opening soon in West Seattle. “I had a friend who got a business loan through Business Impact NW, so I got in touch and attended an orientation session.”
Justin met with a business coach from Washington Women’s Business Center and developed a business plan. After getting the rest of the information together, Justin was approved for a $100,000 loan that he is using for equipment, build-out of the space and operating expenses.
Construction began in April 2016 with opening expected at the end of June 2016. Sound and Fog will be located at 4735 40th Avenue SW, Seattle, in the Broadstone Sky apartment building.
STEADY FLOW GROWLER HOUSECassie and Ashton Preston met in the Air Force while stationed in Okinawa, Japan. It was there that they would drive passed a tiny craft beer bar every day until one night they stopped in. This was the moment where their passion of craft beer was born.
When they landed back in Spokane, WA, they knew they wanted to open a growler fill station to highlight the craft breweries in the area. Working with the Veteran’s Business Outreach Center they developed their business plan, worked out their financials, and connected with a lender.
Today, Steady Flow Growler House is approaching its one year anniversary and Cassie and Ashton are looking to the future where they see several of their stores throughout the Spokane area. Steady Flow Growler House is located at 328 N Sullivan Rd #8, Spokane Valley, WA.
AWESOME, INCJohn Repsonte served in the Marines and after leaving the service spent many years in the fitness industry as a trainer and a manager. With years of personal training under his belt, John had developed a strong client following and he knew it was time to open his own gym.
With the help of the Veteran’s Business Outreach Center, John developed a business plan and financial projections. Once he felt comfortable with his plan it was submitted to the lending arm of Business Impact NW where he was approved for a $40,000 loan. This loan allowed him to secure a lease and buy equipment.
Through Awesome, Inc, John helps his clients become the best possible version of themselves with a focus on fitness and nutrition. Awesome Inc is located at 4220 A Street SE, Auburn, WA.
