To be in the running to win the weekly prize students must be “caught” displaying our PBL core values of Safe, Focus and/or Respect by one of our staff. The students then put their name on their Gotcha ticket and return it to their stage nest. We draw out one lucky winner from each stage every week. Once the nests are full of tickets, all students in the stage are able to participate in a fun reward activity, as voted on by the students. This week, the students are providing the PBL committee with their recommendations for activities. There have been some interesting suggestions so far, including: pyjama day, extra play time, popcorn and movie day, teachers wear a wig day, Ellie visits classrooms, technology day, crazy hair day, ice blocks and water play. We look forward to seeing what the students decide. Congratulations to Elijah, Nathan, Milla and Eileen for being our very first winners. ELERMORE

ENDEAVOUR

Term 1 Week 6 8th March 2019

Dear Parents and Carers,

Today marks the end of the first half of Term 1 for

2019 and what a magnificent six weeks it has been.

This week Ellie the Eagle returned to draw our first

lucky winners of our PBL raffle. To be in the running to

win the weekly prize students must be “caught”

displaying our PBL core values of Safe, Focus and/or

Respect by one of our staff. The students then put

their name on their Gotcha ticket and return it to

their stage nest. We draw out one lucky winner from

each stage every week. Once the nests are full of

tickets, all students in the stage are able to

participate in a fun reward activity, as voted on by

the students. This week, the students are providing

the PBL committee with their recommendations for

activities. There have been some interesting

suggestions so far, including: pyjama day, extra play

time, popcorn and movie day, teachers wear a wig

day, Ellie visits classrooms, technology day, crazy hair

day, ice blocks and water play. We look forward to

seeing what the students decide.

Congratulations to Elijah, Nathan, Milla and Eileen for

being our very first winners.

Meet the Teacher

Thank you to all of the families who came along on

Wednesday afternoon to meet the teachers. If you

were not able to make it on Wednesday and you

would like to meet your child’s teacher for 2019,

please contact the office to make an appointment.

International Women’s Day

Today we celebrate the United Nations

International Women’s Day. This year’s global

P&C Fundraising at EVPS

Over the years, the P&C has been able to provide funds to allow our school to

purchase many valuable resources that support our children in their learning

and development. Take a look and see how the P&C has been Supporting Our

School in recent years.

Following a fantastic Fundraising meeting on Tuesday afternoon, we are now

mapping out a fun-filled year of exciting activities to help raise funds for our

school. Keep in mind, it is not only about raising money, it is also about providing

enjoyable experiences for our kids and bringing the school community

together.

Keep an eye out here in the newsletter, on our P&C Facebook Page and the

Skoolbag App for further details as these events come to play. If you have any

questions regarding our Fundraising, please contact Mel Baker on 0425 274 015.

Tupperware Fundraiser

To kick things off, we are having a Tupperware Fundraisier, where 10% of ALL

sales come back to the P&C! The whole range of Tupperware is available by

clicking on our EVPS “party link”. Once you are there, don’t forget to click on

the “next” button to take you to the Promotions Page. More details are

included on the following pages with the Water Bottle Fun-raiser.

Don’t fancy ordering online, contact Renee and she’ll be happy to help you. Renee is available on 0427 242 545 or

[email protected] and can answer all your Tupperware questions.

Canteen Meeting

Our next canteen meeting will be held on Wednesday, 13th March at 9.30am in the canteen. Please come along to find

out what goes on behind the scenes of our amazing little canteen.

Our Canteen Sub-Committee meet on a monthly basis and help with the general operation and running of the canteen

alongside our Canteen Manager, Deb. We help with the menu, special promotional days, online ordering, and making

sure we abide by the NSW Healthy School Canteen Stratgey.

If you are interested in food and nutrition, then this is the committee for you. You may even be interested in holding one

of the committee positions of Convenor, Secretary or Treasurer, which become available at the P&C AGM. So please

come along and see what’s involved. We’re looking forward to seeing you there.
