I would like to commend our students on their enthusiastic participation in the planned activities and for their outstanding behaviour throughout the day. Congratulations to all students who have enjoyed reading a wide variety of books at home and improved their reading levels. All home readers are now due to be returned to the school. If they haven’t been returned by the end of next week a reminder note will be sent home. Mrs Stevenson and I would also like to say a very big THANK YOU to our amazing volunteers who have given up so much of their time to keep this valuable program going for our students. Without your support this program would not have been possible. Dear Parents and Carers,

On Wednesday this week, our Year students attended a

sports gala day at Glendale Technology High School. I would

like to commend our students on their enthusiastic

participation in the planned activities and for their

outstanding behaviour throughout the day. It is incredible to

EVPS. I am certain that each and every one of our students

will make the most of their last few weeks as primary school

students.

Following our picnic lunch there will be a Christmas Concert,

led by Mrs Robertson, featuring special performances from

each grade along with our school choir and band. We look

forward to seeing our community come together to celebrate

an outstanding year of fun, friendship and learning at EVPS.

Donation for Bethany

On Wednesday this week I received a very kind donation

from the Indigenous Services Committee at the Department

of Human Services in memory of Bethany Davis. The

donation of a range of native plants will be planted in our

Yarning Circle in Bethany’s honour. All of the plants donated

have a range of traditional uses as medicine, food or

materials. I would like to thank Jenny Kelly and her team for

this very kind donation. Mr Mandl and Mr Newham have

already planted the plants along the winding path into our

Yarning Circle.

Have a great week!
