    2. Branch temperatures may now have different values for different scenarios.

    a. In the Master File Editor, user may select default temperatures:

    3. The Amapacity tables have two new values entered, for 150 degrees C and 200 degrees C.

    9. Copy and Paste recognize when a Duplicated symbol is pasted. (Note that duplicate symbols can only be bus bars). There are various combinations that can arise and are handled accordingly:

    a. if the source bus name does not exist in the target project, then the bus is pasted and its original name is used.

    b. if the source bus name already exists in the target project, is a bus bar, and came from the same original bus and the bus being pasted, then this paste is another copy of the same bus.

    c. if the source bus name already exists in the target project, but is not a bus bar, then a new bus name must be used for the pasted bus. The project is searched to see if another copy of the original bus has already been pasted; if so, the newly pasted bus becomes a duplicate of that previously pasted bus. Otherwise, a new name must be generated for the pasted bus. The original bus name from the source is saved so that subsequent pastes of the duplicate symbol can find it.

    d. if the source bus name already exists in the target project, is a bus bar, but did not come from the same original bus as the bus being pasted, this is the same situation as described in (c) and is handled the same way.

    10. A problem was fixed that would occur if two projects with the same root name (but located in different folders). Thus, project EDSA_PROJECT may exist in C:\EDSA2005\PROJECTS, and also in C:\TEMP, then both projects may be opened without interfering with each other.

    11. The Label field has been reinstated in bus dialogs:

    14. EDSA 2005 Rev 1 expands the format of some of the editor files to accommodate new data. This means files opened with EDSA 2005 Rev 1 can no longer be used with EDSA 2005. There is a Global Edit function to shrink an EDSA 2005 Rev 1 project to EDSA 2005 format. This must be done when no project is open - the function will ask what project to downgrade. Choose Tools - Global Edits - Downgrade project to EDSA 2005 Format

    Select the project to downgrade:

    A message is given when the downgrade is finished.

    The project may then be used with EDSA 2005. Please note that if you open the project again with EDSA 2005 Rev 1, it will be upgraded to EDSA 2005 Rev 1 format again.

    15. A new option for scenario handling has been added to the Master File Editor, on the Scenarios tab:

    You may now replace the data for any scenario with data from another scenario. First, select the scenario to be replaced by clicking on the scenario, highlighting the row, as shown above. Then click the Replace button. Then select the source scenario:

    This copies scenario data from the source scenario (Scenario 2 in the example) to the target scenario chosen originally (Scenario 1 in this example).

    16. When changing the unit system for a project (from US to Metric or from Metric to US), you may adjust feeder lengths for the new unit system:

    Answering Yes will assume feeder lengths were in US units and convert them to the Metric equivalent. Answering No will leave the feeder lengths unchanged (in case they were already entered as Metric values).

    17. Library references for DC breakers and fuses will use the 3 Phase breaker or fuse libraries instead of having a separate DC breaker or fuse library. To see this, open a DC breaker:

    Click the dropdown arrow to show the list of breakers in the library, and see that the list is the 3 Phase breaker library.

    18. The DC Error Check messages for Load = 0 will identify which scenario is being reported, if the project has more than one scenario.

    19. For DC projects, different scenarios may have different number of periods.

    so that, for example, scenario 1 may have 10 periods, and scenario 2 have 20 periods:

    For projects which were created before the number of periods varied for different scenarios, it is now possible that the number of periods was never set for some scenarios. In this situation, the number of periods will be set to the number of periods in scenario 1.

    21. Functional Load data %L and %Z is preserved if user changes Load Characteristic to one of the other forms (Constant KVA, for example), then back to Functional Load. 22. Usage factor in Schedules is no longer passed to bus % Running when user clicks OK in Schedules.

    23. In the Short Circuit Load Rating per Scenario dialog (launched from Short Circuit tab of Induction Motors)

    users may not enter the number of motors for scenarios below 10, because the number of motors is calculated from Schedules:

    (the field is set to read-only). For scenarios 10 and above, the user can enter the number of motors, because Schedules does not have provision for scenarios 10 and above.
