UNIT DESCRIPTION • This unit looks at the fact that more and more

businesses are selling their products and services online. You will discover different types of online business in this unit and understand the operation of an online business.

• What makes it ‘feasible’ for a business to go online?

• What are the benefits of an online business presence?

UNIT DESCRIPTION

• You will work individually and in groups to research and document the businesses already involved in online trading and the reasons why they decided to go online.

• You will also look at the advantages and disadvantages of being online and look at marketing, staffing, financial, distribution and operational issues.

• You will study local, national and international businesses and look at the success and failure involved with trading online.
