The Dwisht A ldd le /chool and Var/ity Cro// Country team/ both had
remarkable /ea/on/. Tor the f ir / t time in a few year/ here at Dwight
we had very /trong /howlng/ at the Dwight Invitational, the buckley
Invitational, the Collegiate Invitational, and the Q.I./.A.L
Champion/hip/, In total there were almo/t 4 0 /tudent-ath lete/ that
were highly dedicated to improving them/elve/. Aany people may not
have /een them, but they were there working hard every day after
/chool. All o f the runner/ fully bought into the philo/ophy o f training
the mind and body a/ a whole while running for individual gain/.
It wa/ amazing to watch everyone get better throughout the cour/e of
the /ea/on. While the /tr id e / the athlete/ made mentally, phy/ically,
/ocially, and emotionally are /omething only they will fully realize,
their e ffo rt/ /hould be recognized by all. Thi/ year'/ team/ have
helped lay the foundation for what will hopefully become a tradition
of out/tanding commitment to the cro// country program. I am very
proud of the e ffo rt/ and accompli/hment/ o f everyone on the team
thi/ year. I look forward to helping the/e athlete/ reach their full
potential in athletic/ and in life again next year. -Coach /ean David/on

A /ummary of the Volleyball /ea/on
Although the Var/ity d irl/' Volleyball Team wa/ very young th i/ year,
after lo/ing eight /en io r/ to graduation, the team had a great /tart.
They beat Loyola 2 - 0 at Loyola at their /ea/on opening game in
Diyi/ion 1. In d.l./.A.L., /ophom ore/ made up more than half o f the
team a/ well a/ the /tarting /ix player/. A /enior and team captain
Perrin Kirby, and co-captain Aurora ben/tein (the only Junior on the
team) did a great job leading and motivating the team. The two
/ophomore/, Kylei Acdill and Kyra bre/lin, were /e le cted (5.1./.A.L All
/ta r/. The team played with the International 4 - 2 offen/ive /y/tem
thi/ year. The other two /ophomore/ and /e tte r/, Aimee Daniel/ and
Danielle te lle r, were the Ley player/ for the team'/ /ucce//. The girl/
/tayed focu/ed and improved their /k il l/ throughout the /ea/on and
the 2 - 1 Columbia Prep victory proved that thi/ team can compete
with the Divi/ion I team/ in d.l./.A.L. If the team continue/ working

YAY! W E’RE DOOMED!
Let me not to the marriage ot true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,Or bends with the remover to remove:
O no! it is an ever-fixed mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wandering bark,
W hose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.
Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
W ithin his bending sickle's compass come:
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks.
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.
~ William Shakespeare
