Do you know why MIDORI tastes so good? Their melons are

the major reason. They use premium melon mainly from Yubari,

Japan's melon Mecca. Yubari melons account for just one

percent of melon production in Japan.

They only flourish in Yubari, where conditions are just right.

They’re the hardest type of melon to grow. Growers have to

monitor the melons carefully as though they were their own

children, and harvest them on exactly the right day to capture

their fabled sweetness.

YAMAZAKI 12-year old single malts are aged in casks of three

different kinds of oaks: American, Spanish and Japanese. This

gives Suntory Whisky its unique quality.

This is a medium-bodied whisky with the aromas of dried fruits

and honey. It has a delicate, mellow taste with a lingering,

woody, dry finish. It was awarded Gold Medal at Beverage

Tasting Institute in 2006 and rated as “Exceptional” with a 93

points score.

Described by Paul Pacult as “Simply the best 12 Year Old

single malt around”! The secret of The Macallan lies in defiant

adherence to traditional methods and ingredients.

Burnished gold in color, the sweet, honeyed nose is nicely

balanced with an earthy dryness. The body is medium, and the

palate, although not overly complex, shows beautiful balance

between its dry, spicy aspects and its sweet, fruity style. The

finish is long and warm. – 88 Points, Wine Enthusiast

1401 Viking Grand Shiraz 2004 10.9 18.9 Australia, James Halliday 93 Points Deep color; immensely powerful and concentrated, awash with black fruits, spice and dark chocolate from 50-year-old dry-grown vines. Previously their Shiraz was purchased by Penfolds for incorporating into its world famous "Grange"!

1412 Drostdy-Hof Shiraz 2004 5.6 9.6 South Africa Strawberries, cherries and prunes with a slight spicy background on the nose with a soft, strawberry and ripe fruit palate.

1711 Weninger Blaufränkisch 2008 8.6 15.6 Austria, Mittelburgenland, NYTimes Article

The grape variety that is probably most likely to put Austrian reds on the map is Blaufränkisch. Our hands-down favorite was the 2008 Weninger Hochäcker from Mittelburgenland, a graceful, harmonious wine with bright, complex flavors of fruits, flowers and spices.
