The Palestine boys team defeated Spring Hill 6-0 to win the inaugural Athens Hornets soccer tournament. The Wildcats won all four games to improve to 11-1-2 for the season. Trevon Carr and Fabian Mendez were named to the All-Tournament team and Cass French was named the Tournament MVP.
The Palestine Ladycats also won the Athens Hornets soccer tournament with a 1-0 win over Spring Hill. Gabby Meyers and Astrid Sandoval were named to the All-Tournament team and Vanessa Mendoza was the Tournament MVP.

WECC student body includes Head Start/ PreK 3 and 4 year olds and also the PISD Child Development Center which starts from 6 weeks – up. The center is composed of an Infant Room, Toddler Room and 2 year old
room. The 3 and 4 year old child care students attend PreK . The center began 5 years ago with 18 children and now we currently have 61 full time students. We also have 10 after school students.
Thank you to all of our child care staff: Mary Brooks, Carolyn Hill, Cynthia Brooks, Sandy Morton, Brittany Brooks, Lisa Rothe, Amy Almanza, Janeth Garner, and Melinda Grimaldo. They do a wonderful job caring for
the children of our employees.

playing the piano. Piano students in Jennifer Lowe’s
TACE class are learning how to read musical notes and are enjoying the sound of their
melodies!

Students in Mrs. Delgado’s Academic Assistance in Math class are learning volume of cubes and rectangular prisms
through hands-on activity with cubes. They are filling 3-
dimensional figures to determine volume in cubic
units.

knitting classes. Classes are held on Wednesdays, from January 29th to May 14th, 2015 from 6 to 7:30 pm in High
