Program Description
• Ventanillas de Salud (VDS) is a unique multi-strategy component of ADA-Colorado Area’s Por Tu Familia Program that provides on-site assistence to visitors to the Mexican Consulate through three main strategies: – Information and referrals on accessing medical services available in the
community
– Enrollment in public programs
– Culturally competent, linguistically appropriate education on chronic diseases

Goals
• To improve the health status and promote disease prevention for all Latino families;
• To increase enrollment in public insurance programs;
• To reduce the levels of underutilization of public health insurance programs of the Mexican population; and,
• To become the center of trusted health information, resources
and referrals for underserved Latinos in Colorado.
