SCOPE OF WORK
Contract of “OPERATION OF NFL BIOFERTILIZERPLANTVIJAIPUR”
Scope of work shall include but not limited to the followings: -
1.0 OPERATION OF NFL BIO-FERTILIZER PLANT, VIJAIPUR:
Contractor has supervisor experience of the process of various types of Bio-fertilizer
production, preservation of mother cultures, maintaining quality of Bio-fertilizer and
packing of B/F etc.
The operation of Bio-fertilizer plant is carried out in two seasons in a year: Kharif
and Rabi season. Normally, the plant will produce about 160 MT of Lignite based
and 360 KL Liquid based bio-fertilizer in a year. The bio-fertilizer will be packed in
LDPE packets and laminated pouches containing 150/ /250/1000/ gms or any other
packing as per requirement. The packets weighing 150/250/500 grams may or may
not be further packed in 1Kg/5Kg outer packet. All packets will be properly sealed,
carefully cleaned with duster before keeping them into boxes. Boxes may or may not
be further packed in big cartoons/ HDPE sheets.
The liquid based Bio-fertilizers will be packed in 100 ml, 200 ml and 500 ml PET
bottles and further packed in 10 Liters capacity corrugated boxes.
The quantity of B/F produced & packing size may increase or decrease depending
upon the requirement. During the Kharif and Rabi season there may be lean period in
each season i.e. when the plant may not produce any type of Bio-fertilizer. During the
lean period or due to the circumstances beyond the control of NFL B/F, Vijaipur or
due to any other reason, there may be less production & packing of B/F or there may
be no production & packing. NFL B/F shall pay for work executed & no payment will
be made for idle time.
2.0 Operation of NFL B/F Plant, Vijaipur is divided in following eight schedules:
2.1 SCHEDULE-‟A‟: The jobs involved ( For solid Bio-fertilizer Production)
2.11 Quality production of various types of Bio-fertilizer i.e. PSB, Rhizobium,
Azotobactor and any other biofertilizer etc. as per the instructions of Sr. Manager
(Lab) I/c Vijaipur.
2.12 Work involving purification of mother culture, sub culturing, Preparation of flask,
bottle and fermenter media and their quality control at various stages.
2.13 Work involving weighment of chemicals and inoculation etc.
2.14 Work involving operations of various equipment‟s as per the instructions of Sr.
Manager I/c (Lab) Vijaipur.

2.15 Any other jobs related to the above work.
2.2 SCHEDULE- “B” : The jobs involved (For solid Bio-fertilizer Packing):
2.21 Manual filling & weighing of various types of Bio-fertilizers in LDPE packets and
Laminated Pouches.
2.22 Heat sealing of LDPE Packets and Laminated pouches containing Bio- fertilizer.
2.23 Counting of LDPE Packets and Laminated pouches.
2.24 Cleaning, Packing, Marking & Counting of Bio-fertilizers packets in Carry bags,
Corrugated Boxes and fixing of stickers etc as per requirement.
2.25 Any other Misc. jobs as per requirement from time to time.
2.3 SCHEDULE-“C”: The jobs involved ( For liquid Bio-fertilizer Production)
2.31 Quality production of various types of Liquid based Bio-fertilizers i.e. PSB,
Rhizobium, Azotobactor and any other biofertilizer etc. as per the instructions of Sr.
Manager (Lab) I/c Vijaipur.
2.32 Work involving purification of mother culture, sub culturing, Preparation of flask,
bottle and fermenters media and their quality control at various stages.
2.33 Work involving weighment of chemicals and inoculation etc.
2.34 Work involving operations and cleaning of following machines after production of
each batch and other various equipments as per the instructions of Sr. Manager (Lab)
I/cVijaipur.
i) Automatic Liquid Filling Machine ii) Autoclave (Lab.)
iii) Autoclave (Media) iv) Fermenters
v) Laminar Flow Bench vi) Sealing Machine

2.4 SCHEDULE- “D” : The jobs involved ( For liquid Bio-fertilizer Packing)
2.41 Bringing the PET Bottles, Caps, Corrugated Boxes, Stickers, Chemicals etc. from
Main Stores
2.42 Checking and counting of above materials for suitability before filling.
2.43Setting / Counting of PET Bottles and Caps on Liquid Filling Machine.
2.44Visual inspection of filled PET bottles.
2.45Setting of Corrugated Boxes for Liquid bottle filling.
2.46Filling and packing of 100ml/200ml/500ml filled PET bottles in Corrugated Boxes.
2.47 Box strapping of each Corrugated Box.
2.48 Loading for dispatches.
This may increase or decrease depending upon the requirement.
2.49 Any other jobs related to the above work.
2.5 SCHEDULE- “E” : The jobs involved ( Job involving Microbiology) (For Solid &
Liquid)
2.51 Preservation of various types of mother cultures & monitoring their quality etc.
2.52 Periodical preparation of B/F plant for different cultures as per requirement.
2.53 R&D activities (with prior permission of Sr. Manager (Lab) I/c.
2.54 Maintaining of working condition of the laboratory equipments, glass-wares, plant
equipments & machinery etc. This includes cleaning jobs at all levels.
2.55 Work involving handling of raw material from Store to work site & vice versa etc.
2.56 Unloading of raw material & chemicals etc. from truck/wagon will be carried out by
Material Deptt. as per their terms and conditions
2.57 Loading of finished product and other material etc. in truck/dispatch vehicle during
working hours on working days or after working hours.
2.58 Work involving quality monitoring of various types of bio-fertilizers i.e. PSB,
Rhizobium, Azotobacter or any other bio- fertilizers etc.
2.59 Any other misc. jobs as per requirement from time to time related to the above jobs.
2.6 SCHEDULE- “F” : The jobs involved (For Solid & Liquid)
2.61 Maintenance of lawns and area in front of Biofertilizer Plant and along the periphery.
2.62 Since Lignite Powder is used as carrier and its dust is flying in the rooms and in the
surrounding areas, so the Cleaning, Sweeping and Mopping etc is required daily.
2.63 Any other job as per requirement
2. 7 SCHEDULE- “G”: The jobs involved (For Solid & Liquid)
2.71 Schedule –„G‟ work requires the services @ of 10 extra operations per month which
may increase or decrease depending upon requirement i.e. 120 extra operations in
total per year are required to meet the exigencies of work e.g breakdown of Mixing
Machine (mixing to be carried out manually), Re-packing/Loading of finished
products after normal working hours, breakdown of Box Strapping machine (sealing
to be carried out manually) or any other exigency work related to Bio fertilizer plant
etc
2.61 The extra operation involving above mentioned work means one extra labour. Extra
operation will be used only in case of actual exigency of work as per instructions
from Sr. Manager (Lab)I/c
.
2. 7 SCHEDULE- “H”: Screen printing of LDPE Bags/Laminated Pouches for Batch
No. date of manufacturing, Expiry date ,Weight, Rate and and Name of the company
etc. as per specimen samples.
3.0 Contractor is responsible for quality production of Bio-fertilizer i.e PSB,
Rhizobium, Azotobacter or any other type of Bio-fertilizer as per requirement
and to meet FCO Complainces of bio fertilizers. 3.1 All Jobs to be carried out as per scheduled `A', `B‟, `C', „D‟ , „E‟ , „F‟ , “G”& “H” to
the entire satisfaction of the Sr. Manager (Lab)I/c.
3.2 All the tools and tackles, etc required for operation of Bio Fertilizer Plant shall be
arranged by the contractor.
3.3 Maintaining of daily record, co-ordination and control for deployment of various
equipment, as per requirement in consultation with Sr. Manager (Lab)I/c.
3.4 The contractor is responsible for in-time production & packing of Biofertilizers as per
demand.
3.5 It is the responsibility of contractor to get the respective jobs carried out as per
Schedule
`A', `B‟, `C' ,„D‟ „E‟, „F,‟ „G,‟ & „H‟.

1.0 SCHEDULE-A( 2917 OPERATIONS PER YEAR)
Part –I(1978 OPERATIONS PER YEAR)
Name of Work:-Provided services for Central lab Maintenance/Sampling &
Sundry jobs.
The scope of work shall include but not limited to the followings:
1.1 Maintaining of various Laboratories i.e. Central Lab, DM Lab, Ammonia &
Urea Lab Unit I & II & Lab Store.
1.2 To bring various items from Main Store to Central Lab/Plant Labs.
1.3 Carrying manually the bottles of reagent, standard solutions and
equipment‟s from
Central Lab to all plant Laboratories and bring them back.
1.4 Installing and manning of High Volume Sampler (HVS) for continuous 8
Hrs. to monitor ambient air at four/five stations on alternate days or as per
requirement and Installation of Pollution Control Equipment for Dust
emission at Prilling Towers Urea Line-I & Line- II once in a week.
1.5 Installing and manning of High Volume Sampler (HVS) for continuous 24
Hrs. to monitor ambient air at four /five stations simultaneously once in a
month or as per requirement. The frequency of sampling may increase or
decrease, depending upon the statutory requirement of the state pollution
control board & plant requirement.
1.6 Various points samples collection from Pre Treatment plant of Raw water,
Filter water, clarifier water from I, II, III,& IV, drinking water, DM filter
water, PTP filter water to Central lab.
1.7 Raw materials/Chemicals/Neem oil/Caustic/Acid samples from Main store,
PDIL store, Cement Godown, Bagging Plant, DM Plant to Central Lab.
1.8 Urea product of Line-I from ET-3 Belt, Urea product of Line-II from ET-23
Belt(Twice in a day) & urea composite samples, Urea Rake sample from
Bagging plant (twice in a day) to Central Lab .
1.9 Samples collection from Sewerage Treatment plant to Central lab.
2.0 Purging samples from Line-I &Line- II, GTG I, II, III & package boiler as
per
requirement.
2.1 Flue gas stack‟s monitoring from GTG I, II& III, HRU I, II& III , Primary
reformer

3.0 Oil samples from Ammonia Plant Line-I& II, Urea Plant Line-I& II, CPP,
Township & Transformer of different area & Diesel sample from plants as
required by plant people.
3.1 Cleaning of tubes & Petridis‟s for microbiological TBC & SRB etc.analysis.
3.2 Dak from different offices, photocopy etc.
3.2.1 Sundry job of Central lab, DM Lab, Line-I Lab & Chemical Stores etc.
3.2.2 All plant shut down Jobs & start up jobs, in exigency labours may be also
call in shift duty.
3.2.3 Quantum of sampling job can be increased or decreased depending upon the
plant requirement.
3.2.4 Any other jobs related to Labs can assigned by Sr. Manager (Lab) I/c
4.0 Part -II ( 939 OPERATIONS PER YEAR)
Name of Work:-Provided services for intermittent jobs of un-skilled nature,
for Urea Empty HDPE Bag samples preparation and testing as detailed
below (450± 10% Bag Lots per year, subject to actual number of bag lots
analyzed in our Lab).
The scope of work shall include but not limited to the followings:
4.1 The work involves Urea Empty HDPE Bag samples preparation and
testing of bags for all destructive and non-destructive shall be as per IS
9755:2003 as revised upto date for the type –I sacks & test of breaking
strength width wise, lengthwise by IS 1969:1985 as revised upto date
(Revelled strip test method) & test of bottom seam breaking strength by
IS 9030:1979 as revised upto date & as per NIT guidelines given by
corporate office. Out of the total no of selected bags (20 or 13) three test
specimens each from width wise, length wise & bottom seam form each
selected bag will be tested for strength parameter. (450± 10% lots per year).
Branding test as per NIT guidelines.
4.2 In case of Lot-II, only the specific parameters will be tested as per “NIT” as
required when Lot No. I do not meet the specifications (45± 10% lots per
year).
4.3 The entire job will be conducted under the supervision and guidance of the
relevant bag testing committee. Collection & shifting of cut out pieces of
bags to the main store and cleaning of the work place. The chemicals
required for branding test or any other test will be supplied by NFL free of
cost.
SCHEDULE- B (1945 operations per year)

Name of work: Provided Services for Supply of Samples to Labs
in General Shift. The scope of work shall include but not limited to the followings:
General shift operation involves the work of carrying routine & special samples
of Line-I & Line-II as per the general shift analysis schedule:-
i) Natural gas sample 1st & 2
nd half to Central Lab
ii) BFW, Blow downs & Steams samples from RG, Syn , New Syn boilers
of Ammonia plant line –I.

shift duty.
xvii) Quantum of sampling jobs can be increased or decreased depending
upon the plant requirement.
xviii) Any other jobs related to Labs, assigned by Sr. Manager (Lab) I/c
1.0 Remark
1.1 At any stage, if it is felt that any of the workers/Technical staff is not
capable, contractor will have to change with a competent man. Further,
in case the conduct of any of the workers/employee engaged is found
undesirable the contractor to replace the person with a suitable substitute.
It would be the responsibility of the contractor to get the job done to the
entire satisfaction of Lab-in-charge.
1.2 The contractor shall maintain absolute secrecy with regard to all matters
pertaining
to NFL
1.3 The contractor has to give at least one month notice, if any labour is to be
Retrenched.
1.4 Contractor shall full fill all General, Special, and Technical Terms,
Conditions and
Obligation of contractors mention in Annexure`A‟ in NIT applicable
under this contract.
1.5 Contractor must full fill all compliances of forms number 302 A, B,C
applicable
under Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) Act.
1.6 Overtime as per Factories Act, 1948 is to be paid by contractor to his
labours
1.7 Labour insurance compliances as per rules
1.8 Penalties as per GTC
SCOPE OF WORK,
For contract: Maintenance and Calibration contract for Five HDPE Bags Tensile Machines, Make Dutron Model 1.3D Capacity range 0-250 kgf and one Thread Testing Machine Make Dutron Model 1.3D Capacity range 0-20 kgf
We are having six numbers of Tensile Testing machines, five machines (one digital) make
DUTRON Model 1.3D, capacity range (0-250 kgf) for testing of HDPE BAGS and one Thread
Testing Machine Make Dutron Model 1.3 D (digital) Capacity range (0-20 kgf). Maintenance,
Servicing and Calibration contract for the above mentioned 05 (FIVE) no‟s bag testing machines
& one thread testing machine at the following terms and conditions requred:- 1. The frequency for bag testing machines maintenance, servicing & calibration , visit of Service
Engineer at NFL site will be once in each quarter i.e. four times in a year and for thread testing
machine once in six month i.e. two times in a year. Extra visit required in case of exigency or break
down should be admissible to the party.
2. Proving Rings for Bag & Thread Testing machines with National Physical Laboratory calibration
certificate with due date of validity, is to be brought by your Service Engineer while doing
calibration of Tensile Testing Machines at our site.
3. Your Service Engineer should carry along with him adequate general use spares e.g. V-belts,
springs, damper units, pulleys, fuses, etc. If the required spares/components used from your stock
having value upto Rs 300/- may be replaced free of cost by your Service Engineer . However the
cost of spares/components having value more than Rs 300/- shall be paid extra.
4. During breakdown or in case of major problem, if required, we may provide workshop available
facilities, Mechanical and Electrical Technicians for assistance to your Service Engineer, free of cost,
in the interest of NFL, work.
5. Service Engineer should be fully conversant and capable of attending the Electrical and
Mechanical faults of machines and capable as per IS CODE 1828(PART1) Lasted update calibration
standard operating procedure and also he should be capable of communicating fluently in
Hindi/English language.
