The Nyati Group, Pune, recently conducted a treeplantation drive at Nyati County, in collaborationwith Balaganaagraha Group, No 23, Delhi Public

School, Undri, under the drive ‘Green County Clean Coun-ty’. Addressing the participants, Harish Shroff (director,sales, marketing and business development), highlightedthe importance of tree plantation and the need to protectand preserve the environment. “Tree plantation plays animportant role in today’s world. As a socially responsibleorganization, tree plantation is a small part of our duty to-wards preserving the environment,” he said, adding thateach and every one should participate in protecting theenvironment for the future generations. Republic Day atthe Nyati Group was even more special as an oath was tak-en by everyone to preserve and protect the environmentand all forms of life that inhabit the planet. The DPS staffand students were very enthusiastic throughout the event.The event was attended by the members of all the soci-eties of Nyati County.

A single 30-meter-tall mature tree can absorb as muchas 22.7 kilograms (50 pounds) of carbon dioxide in ayear, which over its lifetime is approximately the same

amount as would be produced by an average car being driven 41,500 kilome-ters (25,787 miles). The same tree could also produce 2,721 kilograms(5,998.78 pounds) of oxygen in a year, which is enough to support at least twopeople.

A drive to bring citizens close to nature

Rocking atmosphere,thumping music,delicious snacks and

a variety of food and bever-age, pumped up the mood ofpatrons who were present atthe grand launch of Apache— High Street in Baner, lastweek. The grand event con-tinued for three days wheresome of the famous bandsand artistes performed. Itwas one-of-a-kind music fes-tival that saw tremendousresponse from the young-sters. Shravan Shetty, own-er, said, “We have carriedthe legacy of Apache forward by launching thethird lounge in the city byreinventing the beverageand food menu.”
