Kathleen
declares
that the
missionary's
theme song
is "This
World Is Not
My Home".
Of the
past eight years, the year
1961
holds
the
honor
of being the
only
year
in
which we
did not
move.
We're
made to
feel
very much without
a
home since we received word that
our
rented
house
in
Kagoshima is up
for
sale. Of
course
we
wouldn't
even consider
letting go our
lease on that
"Mansion
Over The Hill
top" but
until we
move
to
that
land, please
pray that
the
Lord
will
provide us with
one
in Kagoshima. He is
faithful
to provide.
It won't be long now.
Word
from the travel agency is that we
will sail aboard
the
CALIFORNIA BEAR of the Pacific Par East Lines
on
August 14th. (Some missionaries
do
not encourage
us as
to the
faithfulness
of
freighters meeting
their
sailing
date.)
We looh
foreward
to
the restful voyage and the reunion
with
the
Mark Mazey
family oxir only
fellowpassengers.
We still need funds toward
the
purchase
of
tickets. With Lydia reaching her twelfth birthday
this

We
have
appreciated the sincere welcome, the entertainment
and
gifts given to
us
by
all
of you. The marked evangelistic zeal
and
concern
for
missions in general in
so
many churches truly e n o o i ur a ge
ua. 0\ir
family owes
a
great deal to
our Indianapolis
friends and
especially t o th e Mars ^11 hurch
for
opening
its
arms to
us
a nd
for ministering to our
young
people. This
all helped them
to
live
for a
few
months
like normal boys and girls.

The
final two

We were honored, too, to be work

a u t h o r of
many

gospel songs,
the most
popular
of
which
is
"Beyond
The Sunset". He so graciously
surrendered his
total
income
from the meeting to
this
missionary
for
which we are truly
grateful.
S o m e o n e

Mr.

in
conversation with four fine
young

Among these
are Harold
Hicks, his
wife

Jim

all former acquaintances
in Michiana.
Do pray
for
their
future planning.
Folks everywhere are
asking "Are the communists making
headway
in Japan?" We usually

we are

Inroads into oiir American way of

Our
family was
reminded of
the
great ideals of
freedom which
form the foundation of our co\mtry when we visited Washington
D.C.
in early June. Our blood ran warm
as
each memorial reminded us
of
the clear vision possessed by those founding fathers. We also ut
tered a
prayer
that
all men
everywhere,
including the

This letter is not complete without a sincere note of appreci

to
the
fine Christian

have
served the Lord
