What is Early Childhood?
Programming for children from birth to preschool age.

Why Early Childhood?
Mission Mandate/Vision
Equipping Families to Grow in Christ at home and go in service…
![Page 10: Planning for Future Ministry. Focus on Early Childhood](https://reader035.vdocuments.mx/reader035/viewer/2022062308/56649e195503460f94b066dc/html5/thumbnails/10.jpg)
Why Early Childhood
Current preschool--50% unchurched—share success stories (baptism, new members)
Growth in EC positions us to fill our Kindergarten classrooms
Demonstrated need in the community—working parents
![Page 11: Planning for Future Ministry. Focus on Early Childhood](https://reader035.vdocuments.mx/reader035/viewer/2022062308/56649e195503460f94b066dc/html5/thumbnails/11.jpg)
Feasibility Study
Daedelus Research –Patrick RochfordApproved by Leadership Team and Board of
DirectorsFunded with special fundsReview of data sources(national, state,
regional, local)Examination of local market for EC
![Page 12: Planning for Future Ministry. Focus on Early Childhood](https://reader035.vdocuments.mx/reader035/viewer/2022062308/56649e195503460f94b066dc/html5/thumbnails/12.jpg)
Feasibility --Findings Need for quality care in the QCA Demographic and economic indicators point to
success. Trinity’s location is one of the busiest in the
community—numerous benefits. Parents are looking for “one-stop” for their
children. Did not find support for off-campus
development. Emphasis must be on developing a 5-star
program.

Rationale
Moving 4 preschool rooms provides space for our growing school and other needs.
Possible to eliminate all-day preschool classes—Offer a.m. and p.m. classes with childcare to cover the “off” time.
All six rooms able to accommodate any EC offering (flex)

This model adds an additional class and 24 more children potentially over current. This number could grow based on creative scheduling that may be possible. These spaces would also be available for summer programming. (used 360 days a year)

Operating Costs
Daedlus Research indicated that new EC start ups are usually at a break even point after 3 years.
Consultant shared that because of our reputation in the community, it is likely that this could be quicker for us.
