International program of the Russian Federation and the GEF The partnership on sustainable environmental management in the Arctic in a rapidly changing climate «Arctic Agenda 2020»One of the most ambitious corrent international program on
improving governance and the environment in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation, which consists of 6 projects. The total grant amount is about 24 million US dollars. The draft program
was approved by the Arctic Council and the results of the individual projects will be the contribution of the Russian
Federation in the work of the five Working groups of the Arctic Council
The GEF – United Nations environment protection (UNEP)«Nomadic herders»
The project aims to strengthen the capacity of nomadic herders in the field of biodiversity conservation and natural resource management, and strengthen opportunities to work with the
private sector and authorities in the processes of land-use planning. The grant amount is about 5 million.US dollars
