OBJECTIVES
General Objectives: 1)to establish the Montessori method as a common European method for language learning2)to transfer the Montessori method in the field of language learning of adults and university students in order to promote the acquisition of key competencies throughout the education and training system.
MAIN AIM
1) to define a method of modern language teaching, on the concept of the Montessori’s methodology
2) to equip the language teachers with an innovative but also sound pedagogical method in order to develop their skills and equip them with new skills.

Characteristics of the Methodology: Adaptive Easy to implement Accepted by other members of the European
Community as an intuitive, practical and easy way for people of any age to understand and learn languages effortlessly.
address the needs of learners in different education and training sectors
combine traditional face-to-face workshops with e-learning and ICT based learning
OUTPUTS
Development of a Manual for the transfer of the Montessori method in language learning
Organization of workshops for the training of language teachers in the methodology
Development of online training for the training of language teachers all over Europe in the methodology
Evaluation procedures of the face to face and the online training will be based on the Montessori method too (self assessment, portfolios)
IMPACT
increase trainers’ motivation with the application of a EU common method
improve trainers’ career with more professional opportunities
facilitate trainers’ exchange of good practices, using a common method.
The problems regarding the absence of a common effective method for teaching languages to adults on the basis of their personal needs will be reduced
the effectiveness of language learning to adults above 20 and university students will be improved
TARGET GROUPS
1) Language Teachers language teachers that are teaching adults or university
students they will learn:
how to implement the Montessori method in language learning
how to organise the course on the basis of the individual characteristics of each learner
how to organise the assessment Training of 10-15 language teachers offline in each
country (60-90 in the whole consortium) Training of 60 language teachers online
TARGET GROUPS
2) Teacher Trainers Professionals that are responsible for the training of
teachers in new methodologies and updating of the teacher skills
responsible for training the language teachers in the Montessori method, organise the workshops and the online training
10 teacher trainers are going to be involved in the project in the whole consortium
TARGET GROUPS
3) Language Learners Final Beneficiaries each language teacher should implement the method in
at least 1 language learner 120-150 language learners from all over Europe will be
able to test the method during the lifetime of the project
TARGET GROUPS
4) Other organisations (100 totally) Language learning institutions Universities European and local education organisations public authorities educational decision makers language experts NGOs that teach languages to immigrants or to
volunteers or Erasmus students
