May/August 2016
Don’t you just love spring! It always brings a sense of rejuvenation! The only thing that I’m not crazy about is
the pollen and I know many of you have the same problem. I guess we have to take the good with the bad.
Hopefully, you aren’t being affected too badly.
It’s that time of year when we have Mother’s Day, graduations, weddings, and of course, our vacation visitors!
We have some great classes so hopefully you will have some time free for yourself to join us. Maybe one of
your guests would like to take a class with you!
We have some great events planned for later in the year. Hatched in Africa is coming again and we will also
host another Anita Goodesign/Baby Lock event. Both of these are scheduled for September. We are still wait-
ing on the exact dates for Santi and the girls to come so keep an eye out for an e-mail with the date. I will also
send out more information on the Anita Goodesign/Baby Lock event later.
It seemed that it was just too difficult to have a consistent serger club on Friday afternoon. Therefore, we have
moved serger club to the 4th Monday of each month. So if you missed coming to club because of the day of
the week, hopefully this will work much better for you.
If you would like to have a demonstration on one of our Baby Lock or Bernina machines and our store hours
just don’t work for you, give us a call. We will be glad to schedule a time at your convenience to test drive any
of our wonderful machines.
We want to welcome Molly Yarchin to our staff. Molly is a student at St. James High School and is working
on Saturdays. So stop in and get acquainted with her. You should be seeing more of Molly this summer!
To all of our snowbird friends, please have a safe trip back home, enjoy your summer, and come back soon!
We wish all of you a safe and wonderful summer! Thank you for being Accent Sewing customers and support-
ing us!
Sheryl, Bob, Pat, Roz, Melissa, Diane, Dolores, Elizabeth, Marilyn, Donna, Pat, Francesca, Molly and Abby

Clubs
Embroidery Club
For those of you with embroidery machines, we have embroidery club which meets once a month. You don’t have to
own a Bernina or Baby Lock machine to come to embroidery club. We accept all brands! You must, however, know
how to use your machine. We meet on the 2nd Monday of every month at 2:00 or 6:00. Club features a new project
every month. Sometimes there will be a kit and other times you will need to bring your own supplies. We try to do
projects that you can finish in the two hour time frame, but sometimes you may have to finish at home. Fee for club
is $5.00 each month. You will be notified by e-mail what the project will be. You just need to e-mail a response that
you plan to attend and what time you will be attending. Hope to see you there!
Serger Club
Serger club is the fourth Monday of every month. As long as you know how to use your serger, any brand of serger
can attend. There will be a $5.00 charge per month. As with the embroidery club, I will send out an e-mail letting
you know what the project will be. To attend, just send me an e-mail or call the store and sign up. See you there!
Class Policy - You must pay at the time you sign up for a class! This will allow the teachers to make
preparations for the correct number of students. Also, please do NOT wear perfume to class!
Please sign up for class even if there is no charge for the class! This is especially true if the class
is held after store hours. You can call to register or e-mail us at [email protected].
If you must cancel a class, please do so as soon as possible. Class fees are not refundable but you can
receive a store credit or apply the fee to another class.
Look for the dates for the Anita
Goodesign/Baby Lock Event coming
in September!
