Mexico offers beautiful and romantic destinations where wedding bliss comes true. We are a
family owned event planning business located in Playas de Rosarito, Baja California, Mexico.
Our venue it situated next to Calafia Hotel which provides accommodations for guest to stay at
close vicinity to our venue. We offer ceremony and reception packages; our venue has an
amazing view of the Pacific Ocean and mountains. Our Casa Matriarca how we named our
venue has a bride and groom suites and we also do the catering service on site. You can choose
from outdoor ceremony reception to indoor facility both with panoramic view of the ocean.
Our expertise is in wedding event designing making your dream party come to live and we also
specialized in coordinating your event with our partner vendors in Valle de Guadalupe for
clients preferring an outdoor wedding in the wine country of Ensenada.
Meet Our Coordinator:
Almendra Sandoval graduated from University of La Verne California and event planning is her
passion. Our wedding planner and coordinator specializes in wedding destinations and event
designing. The experience she brings to our region is from her traveling to the U.S and working
with the best wedding and event planners in California and Hawaii.

Marriage License Requirements
Applying for a Marriage License in Mexico:
ID Requirements in Mexico
If you are not a resident of Mexico, you will be asked for a Tourist Card/Visa and a valid
passport. The airlines will provide you with your tourist card if you are flying in. If you are
driving, you will have to get one in Mexico. Some of the states require a certified copy of your
birth certificate that has been translated into Spanish and confirmed by your own country. The
documents will be kept, so don't bring originals; send the copies to them at least 30 days ahead
of time. For U.S. and UK citizens, for the necessary documents to be legalized, they must have
an apostille affixed to them.
Ceremony
Marriage in Mexico is legal only if it is a civil ceremony performed at a local Civil Register Office
(Oficina del Registro Civil). The ceremony will be conducted in Spanish and may be translated
into English by your wedding coordinator, someone you know, or, for a fee, a professional
translator. The simplest, least expensive way to get married is at the local Registro Civil. You can
have a religious ceremony later. More commonly for foreigners, for an additional fee you can
get married at the location you choose, such as on the beach at your hotel.
Residency Requirement in Mexico
None; if you are a foreigner and want to marry a Mexican citizen, you need to have
authorization from the National Institute for Migration (Instituto Nacional de Migración).
Waiting Period in Mexico
There is a waiting period of two to three days in Mexico. It varies from state to state. Plan extra
time for getting the paperwork all arranged. It generally takes at least three working days to
have your paperwork and documents processed.
Previous Marriages
If you have been divorced, you need to wait a year before applying for a marriage license. You
will also need a certified copy of your divorce decree or certified copy of death certificate of
deceased spouse.
If you are marrying a Mexican national
Along with the above documentation, you will need another, called a Formato de estancia,
giving you permission to marry a Mexican national. It is issued by the Secretaria de Gobernacion
and must come from an office in the same state where the marriage takes place. You will also
need to submit a letter to the National Institute of Migration, signed by both of you, stating
that there is no legal reason why you can’t be married, and including the details of when and
where the ceremony will take place. It must be accompanied by proof of payment of fees. The
process should take only a few days but may take up to two weeks.
Marriage application forms
At the local Registro Civil, where you will present your documents, you will fill out your
marriage application, complete a pre-nuptial agreement declaring whether you wish to have
joint or separate ownership of property, and pay your marriage license fee. After that,
depending on the state, there is a waiting period of up to two days before you can get married.
In Mexico only civil marriage is recognized as legal. Persons wishing to get married in Mexico
may also have a religious ceremony, but it will have no legal implications
Tests
A blood test for R and HIV and Thorax (chest) X-rays are required in Mexico. It is recommended
that these tests be done in Mexico two days before your wedding. The cost of the tests
averages $125 per person.
Witnesses
You need two to four witnesses over the age of 18. Your witnesses also need to provide
identification. Some areas of Mexico may require that two of the witnesses be from your home
country. The number of witnesses required depends on the location of your wedding.
Under 18
Parental consent is required if either of you is under 18.
Fees in Mexico
It will cost you approximately $200 (US Funds) to get married in Mexico.
Proxy Marriages

Same-Sex Marriages
Same sex marriages can be legally performed only in Mexico City and Quintana Roo, which
includes Cancun and the Riviera Maya.
Once you are married
Marriage Certificate (Acta de Matrimonio)
Your marriage certificate, which will be in Spanish, validates your marriage worldwide, but you
need to have it legalized in Mexico. For Americans and Brits, this means a certified copy needs
to be appended with an apostille from the Mexican government. If you don’t have a wedding
coordinator assisting you (Did we mention you should have one?), the local Registro Civil can
help. They may not be ready until after you depart Mexico, but arrangements can be made to
have it Fed-ex home. After returning home, register your marriage certificate with your local
governing jurisdiction.

Wedding Planning Contract

The Planner will always do its best to find the top suppliers wherever the wedding location is,
but we cannot be held responsible for any supplier/service provider’s performance or product.
It’s expressly agreed that The Planner, is acting as an independent contractor and not as an
employee providing services to client(s). The Planner, wedding planner and client
acknowledgement this agreement does not create a partnership or join venture between them
The Planner is not responsible for any events preventing the wedding to happened, such as fire,
flood, earthquake or any other natural disaster.
For the month of __________the planning package, we have agreed upon a fee

CANCELLATIONS/REFUNDS FOR PROPOSAL SERVICES:
All event contract cancellations must be in writing. Cancellations of these arrangements will
incur the penalties stated.
At the time of purchase, a flat rate payment of $400 (fee included on initial retainer fee) is due
for proposal ideas (deliverables). Refunds will only be provided before questionnaire is
submitted and before custom proposal ideas are started and/or sent by The Planner
(delivered). A 5% processing fee will apply for eligible refunds.
If a client chooses to upgrade to our event planning services, in the event of a cancellation after
contract is signed, a non-refundable 50 percent payment will apply according to amount stated
in contract for the hours/services rendered. Seven business days prior to your event a non-
refundable, full payment is due. However, should cancellation occur within 3 weeks or less of
event date, full payment will be required.
Please note clients who book Gold Package (Custom Proposal Ideas) are given the ideas to plan themselves or to
be planned by The Planner – if client chooses to upgrade. Although the custom ideas are for and created around
the client, client agrees not to take the custom proposal ideas to another event planner or competitor to have
executed. The documents and ideas provided are intellectual property of The Planner and confidential.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ALL EVENT SERVICES:
a) The Planner fee does not include any vendor fees and reflects only the total for coordination
and supervision services provided by The Planner. All supplies, products, and services provided
by any vendor are invoiced separately.
b) You are responsible for compliance with each vendor contract and its individual policies as
stated by the vendor, including air, ground and hotel policies. Further, while The Planner takes
great pride in personally selecting our preferred vendors and referring them to you, we shall
not assume liability nor shall we be held responsible for vendor costs, vendor errors, your
dissatisfaction in their performance and/or product or a vendor’s breach of its contractual
obligations to you. We strongly recommend that you review each vendor contract carefully.
c) The Planner reserves the right to utilize photos and video footage of your event to add to its
event portfolio and share with future clients. The client agrees to the use by The Planner of
such photos and video footage. Furthermore, if your event is share on other websites, media,
television, etc. the client agrees to credit The Planner and vendors for their appropriate fields.
d) Although this has NOT happened, in the case that your partner says “no”, all payments to
vendors and The Planner will be non-refundable
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ROOM DECORATING PACKAGES:
a) In the event of a cancellation after package is booked, a non-refundable 50 percent payment
will apply, and customer must provide cancellation confirmation in writing. If cancellations take
place within seven business days or less to your check-in date, the non-refundable, full payment
is due. If a customer must postpone or move check-in date, The Planner will work with the
client to reschedule if the new date is available with Hotel and The Planner schedule.
b) Any personalized decor costs and shipping of those items will be incurred by client (if
materials have already been purchased).
c) The Planner reserves the right to utilize photos and video footage of your event to add to its
event portfolio and share with future clients. The client agrees to the use by The Planner or her
assistant(s) of such photos and video footage. Furthermore, if your event is share on other
websites, media, television, etc. the client agrees to credit The Planner and vendors for their
appropriate fields.
Signatures The two parties hereby agreed on the terrms and conditions as set out above dated effective as
of last date of signature. Use of fax, email and electronic signatures shall have the same force
and effect as an original signature.
