Why is E-Safety important?
• The world we live in uses all kinds of media all of the time. This is constantly changing and children want to be, and are, part of this.
• There are obvious dangers with children having access to the internet. The vast majority of what and who is on the internet is not policed.
• Ultimately, it’s about keeping your children safe.

Children’s use of technology at school
• Primarily, at school, children use the internet and computers to learn and it is undoubtedly a wonderful resource with a wealth of information.
• Children use their own user id and passwords in order to begin teaching them about password security.
• The Computing Curriculum is designed to not only teach children about computers and technology but also to teach them how to use them both safely.
