Our 4th “Team Conference Call” will be
held on Wednesday July 11th at 1pm.
In our continued efforts to improve
communication throughout our terminals

our organization . The goal is to discuss
various topics and company information
while also addressing FAQ’s and
submitted topics from our work force.
We encourage you to email [email protected]

One of the hardest things to maintain
in a company of our size is
streamlined communication between
departments, supervisors, and
employees/drivers. We have made an
honest effort to bridge this gap by
holding monthly Team Conference
Calls and producing a weekly
podcast.
Listen and join the conversation!

Michelle, our Driver Advocate
will be visiting our STL terminal
on July 17th, 18th, 19th.
It happens every day. Every driver knows what it’s like to
ensure a safe distance between them and the car in front of them only to have
someone fill that gap and reduce your safety cushion. Or when drivers expect
a semi to move into a center lane full of traffic so they can merge on to the
express way. Our drivers are challenged on the road every day and we
certainly commend the diligence of all of our safe drivers.
One in particular, we received video for was Richard Allen, a driver for Wes
Boyd in Kansas City, MO. Richard’s awareness and quick thinking
absolutely resulted in avoiding what could have been a very serious accident
when the driver of a small car cut Richard’s big rig off, and if not for his use
of a handy exit lane (and a horn) this car could have been hit and hit good.
(Richard didn’t use any swear words or anything!)
Vice President, Jeff Berlin called it a “serious squeeze play successfully
avoided”.
Kudos to you for safe driving, Richard.
Thanks to every driver out there who uses their skills in challenges like this.
