JOB DESCRIPTION
POST: SENIOR HAIR SALON STYLIST
RESPONSIBLE TO: Commercial Enterprise & Training co-coordinator
Deputy Director Commercial Services
JOB PURPOSE: To deliver services to clients ensuring high levels of
customer service are delivered and maintained. Promote the
facilities and services the departments offer to maximise commercial profitability and raise company profile. To
undertake assessment and training of College students
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
1. To deliver all Hairdressing services in line with the agreed service standards of the ‘Intuition’ salon.
2. To support and assist other team members within the commercial environment.
3. To train and assess learners to ensure timely completion and attainment of qualifications. To ensure all Awarding Body requirements are met
4. To ensure the salon is operating to time to maximise commercial profitability
5. To ensure high levels of customer service are delivered and maintained. To
minimise customer complaints by ensuring all services are delivered to the agreed
standard.
6. Promote the facilities and services the departments offer to maximise commercial profitability and raise company profile.
7. To ensure College health and safety procedures are maintained to provide safe
working practices and healthy and safe working environments.
8. To promote actively the sale of products and maintain a consistent high level of
retail sales.
9. To ensure a positive example is set to other team members in the specific areas of behaviour, appearance, customer service and attitude.
10. To assist with marketing activities to increase the level of new clients to the
business.
11. To participate in any events the salon may enter into with the purpose of promoting
and raising the profile of the business.
12. Act as an ambassador driving continuous improvement
The post holder will be required to work evenings on a regular basis and
Saturdays on a rota basis.
GENERAL DUTIES:
1. Actively promote and market the College and the Salons, presenting a positive image of the College and its activities both within and outside the College environment.
2. Ensure the quality standards and performance measures applying to the work of the
section are met and facilitate continuous improvements in all aspects of the post.
3. Undergo any self-development and training as necessary for success in the role.
4. Carry out any duties at all times in accordance with the College’s policies including
Equality and Diversity and Health and Safety Policies.
5. Incorporate into the role the philosophy, values and behaviour stated in the College mission and Strategic plan.
6. Promote within the College a positive approach to security and discipline.
7. Undertake any other responsibilities commensurate with the grade of the post, which the Principal or their senior management representative may from time to time
require.

Qualification
Hairdressing qualification to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
experience and working towards level 3 qualification Assessor awards or willingness to obtain.

Knowledge of reception procedures. An understanding of training and assessment
