• The project was initiated by the committee on the 8th meeting in October 1999
• Project members: Norway(coordinator), United Kingdom, Sweden, Japan, Canada, and Russia

Main Objective
• To provide an effective and efficient process for auditing IT Infrastructure Management
• To comply with this objective the project has developed guidelines built on a model for auditing IT Service Management

Definition
• An IT Infrastructure exists to provide IT services that satisfy various business needs and customer requirements
• An “IT Service” is a set of IT-related functions
• IT Service management is the totality of IT service provision, including the management of the infrastructure and the environment
