ISBIR Portal Alpha Version
3-year 2007-09, ISBIR Program
combine all industry related activities of student branches
establish a platform where IEEE volunteers from all over the
world can share their best practice and experience
basic goal: activate and encourage Student Branches
forming strong and permanent relations with industry
SBs play an important role by:
arranging professional activities and meetings with executives
establishing their internal formations about industry relations
bringing several opportunities to IEEE members.
As you can see, extending the list of activities is only limited(!) by the creativity of IEEE volunteers !
Some possible activities and projects your student branch can implement as part of ISBIR Program can be enumerated as:
Informative Meetings or Presentations for the Awareness of IEEE and ISBIR
Extensive Organizations about Industry
Professional and Technical Project Groups
Project Implementation Center or Laboratories
Cooperation with Alumni and Related Organizations
Technical Trips to Factories or Industry Zones
Technical Seminars or Trainings
Project or Business Idea Contests
Fair and Conference Participations
Providing Career and Internship Opportunities for Students
Individual Meetings with Industry Representatives
Sponsorship Agreements with Companies
Research about the Local Characteristics of Industry
Student branches can immediately participate in ISBIR Program by submitting the application forms and begin to implement industry-related activities in their local areas. ISBIR Guide and ISBIR Program Presentation will help IEEE volunteers in establishing permanent relations with industrial companies and retrieving feedback from them about their demands from IEEE and your student branch using ISBIR Survey.
Once your branch is involved in ISBIR Program, we are always eager to learn about your activities so you can inform us about your recent activities in order to "benefit" from the subprograms of ISBIR Program using the ISBIR Action Submission Form
Also, you are always welcome to contact us at [email protected] for your feedbacks and questions.
