The Spreadsheet is an application which
consists of a grid/intersection of columns
and rows.
Uses of Spreadsheet application
1. For calculations
2. For data analysis
3. For preparing financial budgets and
reports
4. For plotting tables and graphs
5. For preparing student reports
Features of the Spreadsheet
Application window:
• Toolbars (formula, standard,
formatting etc.)
• Name box/ Cell reference box
• Rows – Horizontal bars
• Column – Vertical bars
• Cell - Intersection of a column and a row
• Active cell - ready for text input with
thick boarder lines
• Auto Sum - for additions

Identifying Names of Cells
A Letter representing column and a
number representing row are combined
to form the name of a cell
e.g. A1, B4, C20, H10, T6 etc.
Hence a cell is identified by a column
letter and a row number.
NB: There are 365 columns and 6365 rows
in the spreadsheet application window
Adjusting Columns and Rows
1. Move the mouse pointer on the target
column or row in line with the respective
column letter or row number
3. Click on and drag to adjust
(enlarge/reduce) to the desired size before
releasing the mouse button.

sections – 1 & 2. Paper 2 is first
which is divided into two parts- I
& II. Part I is only one question
which practical and compulsory
whiles Part II is essay and made of
5 questions which pupils are
expected to answer 3 out of the 5.
Paper 1 is made of 40 objective
questions where options A-D are
available for pupils to select the
most suitable possible answer to
each question
