The IT sector is the most active area in the Wellington job market, with nearly 400 vacancies advertised on job seeker site Trade Me Jobs

Seek ICT ads for Canterbury have significantly increased this month for all languages; e.g. Java by 47.6%, and for DBA/Developer with Oracle up by 19.6% and SAP up by 29%

According to Trademe jobs the IT sector is the most active area (field) in the Wellington job market (Seek ICT job ads for Wellington decreased by 5.5% this month)

The base median salary for Wellington, according to the Absolute IT Remuneration Report, is the highest for all regions at $80,000
