HORSE MARKINGS DIAGRAM

Please indicate all markings described above on the following diagram. Please use blue or black ink ONLY. Scars should be indicate with an X, whorls with a O.

MARKING TERMINOLOGY

Any of the following markings that join into one larger marking, are described as conjoined (e.g. white star and stripe conjoined).

White Head Markings

• Star: Any white marking on the forehead

• Stripe: Narrow white marking running down nose

• Snip: White marking in vicinity of nostrils

• Blaze: Wide white marking covering most of face

White Leg Markings

Please be specific about the location of any white leg markings (e.g. white to coronet / fetlock / above or below knee)

Brands

Any brand is acceptable. Some common descriptors for brands

• Lazy: Letter or number on their side

• Conjoined: Two letters or numbers joined together

• Script: Cursive letter

• Over: When one letter or number
