Evolution

Beethoven as pianist, can be considered a self-taught virtuosity, if overlooked his childhood education in Bonn. His pupil Carl Czerny said:”His attitude when he played was masterful in its serenity, noble and beautiful, without the slightest grimace” He attached great importance, in their teaching, the correct finger position, according to the school of Philip Emanuel Bach (son of the great Joahn Sebastian), who used to teach me. With respect to phrasing, Czerny said that Beethoven was very desirous that his disciples to acquire a perfect legato, legato being your own, as you might imagine, wonderful.
