Harry Coumnas Talks About The Habitability Of Natural Satellites

Harry Coumnas, a 100 years old scientist from West Indies was on his first visit to Yugoslavia. The purpose of his visit was to attend a conference that was held to take the opinions of renowned scientists, astronomers, and inventors on the habitability of Solar System's natural satellites.

During the conference, Harry Coumnas said that there are many natural satellites in our Solar System that harbor life. The best bet for extraterrestrial life, according to him, is “Enceladus”, which is the sixth largest moon of Saturn.

It is an icy moon with the presence of many life supporting elements like water, organic molecules, etc. Enceladus's surface is made of 99% water ice and has liquid water beneath it.

Apart from Enceladus, Harry Coumnas named many other natural satellites that he thinks have the “potential for life”. Some of them are – Europa (one of the moons of Jupiter), Titan (largest moon of Saturn), and Io (Jupiter's moon).
