• As they lived ,human-being tried to change their life styles for a better condition.

So they decided to create new things to simplify their lives in hard conditions.

When we looked at our history we found so many intelligently designed inventions by Turkish inventors

The First world map by Piri Reis • In 1929, a group of

historians found an amazing map drawn on a gazelle skin.

• Research showed that it was a map drawn by Ottoman admiral and cartographer Piri Reis.

• The Piri Reis map shows the western coast of Africa , the eastern coast of South America , and the northern coast of Antarctica. The northern coastline of Antarctica is perfectly detailed.

Volitan The Volitan is a sea-boat equipped

with solar cell panels, which uses both wind and solar energy.

Page 12: GREAT TURKISH INVENTIONS

The Volitan is a

proposed design for a boat equipped with solar cell  pannels , which uses both wind and solar energy.

The design has been awarded first prize in the "The Best Nautical/Boat" and "The Best Transportation Vehicle of the Year" categories at the International Design Award, 2007.

In the design, Volitan is inspired from a flying fish.(an extinction fish)It uses sails, wind and solar power to get around, It stores energy in batteries.

The engine doesnt need any oil to start. It uses the energy stored ın the batterıes .

So ıt ıs a green technology ,and doesnt pollute the enviroment. It produces clean and cheap energy.
