COACH'S COMMENTS:
We return 15 starters. Key returners are MONTERIOUS
GODFREY (906 rushing yards), a sophomore running back. ELIJAH
KENNEDY will move up to play slot."
"The defense will be anchored by MASON BOWERS (6-4, 255-pound defensive end) and Brian Anderson (6-0, 225-pound linebacker), who
started as a freshman"
2018 SCHEDULE: "The non- conference schedule will be
challenging, as well as a tough conference schedule. We look to be
very competitive this season."

DAVIE COUNTY
COACH'S COMMENTS:
Davie County has its sights set on a 'bounce-back' 2018 season
in the second year of having their brand new campus. The War
Eagles slipped to a 5-7 finish in 2017 (12-2 the year before), including a first round exit from
the 4A state playoffs.
A talented backfield of running backs Josh Robinson and Adrian
Cranfill will have to help Davie County transition past the
departure of quarterback Josh Hall, who threw for 2,104 yards during
his career.

GLENN BOBCATS
COACH'S COMMENTS:
What had the potential to be a special year for Glenn (a 10-0 start) flipped quickly in 2017,
when the Bobcats lost on Halloween, 17-14 at home to
West Forsyth, to close the regular season; then, two weeks later,
Glenn fell in overtime in the playoffs to Zebulon, 35-34.
This coaching staff's biggest challenge will be to replace 'all-
everything' quarterback Stephon Brown (47 total touchdowns in 2017), who chose to continue
his football career at Appalachian State.

LEDFORD SENIOR
COACH'S COMMENTS: Ledford finished the 2017 season with an impressive 9-3 record, and will look to build on that despite replacing quarterback Matthew Rodgers, who accounted for 18 touchdowns last year.
On both sides of the ball, Ledford will be pushed by senior defense back Coleman Reich, a 3-star UNC commitment, and one of the top players in the state.

MOUNT TABOR SPARTANS
OUTLOOK:
Mount Tabor rode its suffocating defensive prowess and high-
octane offense to an 11-3 finish in 2017, including a Piedmont
Triad 3A title with a perfect 6-0 conference record, under first-year
Head Coach Tiesuan Brown. The Spartans hit their stride in Week 6,
registering 8 straight wins while scoring 35.6 ppg and allowing
only 12 ppg during that stretch. Mt. Tabor's hot streak ended at
home, with a 27- 20 loss to Sun Valley in the third-round of the

NORTH DAVIDSON KNIGHTS
COACH'S COMMENTS:
After falling short of the state championship game, second-year
coach Brian Flynn will look to build on the team’s 13-2 record.
North Davidson will have to replace several key offensive
talents, including running back TJ Boyce (NC A&T), kicker Chris Dunn
(NC State) and quarterback Josh Sicignano. The Black Knights have
serious players on both sides of the ball: defensive lineman Blake Stephens (109 tackles, 20 sacks)
and athlete Themus Fulks (six interceptions).

NORTH FORSYTH VIKINGS
COACH'S COMMENTS:
A strong interior of the offensive line, led by guards Rodney Lindsey and Reggie Archer, for the Vikings
should help protect veteran quarterback Richard Bryce, who
has playmakers to get the ball to: Jaydon Hickman and Brandon
Davis.
On defense, Andre Walters returns in the middle at linebacker. Up
front, Jeremiah Howard, who split time between varsity and JV in 2017, will look to get after the
quarterback.

PARKLAND MUSTANGS
COACH'S COMMENTS:
Parkland has a chance to be a dangerous team in 2018 — with
16 starters returning, eight on both sides of the ball.
On offense, quarterback Camion Shell returns behind three
returning starters along the offensive line: Will Brown, Sisa
Dreher and Derrick Grampus.
The Mustangs will be led by 6-foot-2 linebacker Lee Kpogba,
a top-25 player in the state of North Carolina and a West Virginia

REAGAN RAIDERS
COACH'S COMMENTS: Improving upon a defense that issues at times last season is at the top of the priority list for the Raiders; however, coach Josh McGee must also figure out who his starting quarterback will be: senior Riley White or junior Gabriel Hollingsworth.
The offensive line will be anchored by veteran Camuary Jones, who stands 6-foot-4 and close to 300 pounds.

REIDSVILLE
COACH'S COMMENTS:
Reidsville’s defense will be paced by veteran linebacker Trail Rankin,
a four-year starter for the Rams. He will see time on offense, too.
Speaking of offense, senior running back Travion Canada (92.7
all-purpose yards per game in 2017) has star potential.

WALKERTOWN WOLFPACK
COACH'S COMMENTS:
After three seasons as the head coach of Walkertown, which
included an 0-11 record in 2017, Josh Pardue stepped down in mid-June to become the defensive line
coach at Wilkes Central. Pardue left to cut down on his work commute.
Offseason workouts were handled by a rotation of assistant coaches
for the Wolfpack, who will look to build an offense around
quarterback Isaiah Conrad and Johnathan Hudgins.

WEST FORSYTH TITANS
OUTLOOK: The Titans once-perfect, 11-0 season came crashing down in a 41-34 second-round defeat to Hough in the 2017 4AA state playoffs. So, despite winning the Central Piedmont 4A conference with an unblemished 5-0 record, the failure to win a playoff game and advance as a heavy favorite has been difficult for many in Clemmons to put behind them.
