Facebook/InstagramAdsManagerIntegrationFacebookadshavebecomeastandardpartofanymarketer’spromotionscheduleanddigitalstrategy,sobeingabletoreachyourownaudienceonFacebookinaneasytousemannerbecameafrequentlyrequestedfeature.Overview:ThisintegrationbetweenOmedaandFacebookletsyoupushAudienceBuilder(OnQ)queriesintoFacebookAdsManagertoletyoueither(1)targetadsdirectlytoyouraudienceor(2)createlook-a-likeaudiencesbasedonyoursegment.SinceInstagramisownedbyFacebook,youcanruntheseadsacrossbothplatformswithintheFacebookAdManager.ThisintegrationremovestheneedtodownloadthelistfromAudienceBuilder(OnQ)anduploadintoFacebookeachtimeyouwanttodosomething.ItalsopullsinperformancedatafromFacebooksoyoucanseecampaignresultswithintheOmedaplatform,andalsoallowsyoutorefreshpreviouslypulledlistssoyoudon’tneedtorerunthequeryeachtimeyoufindasegmentthatperformswell.Byconnectingaudiencedataandcampaignresultstogetherinthesameplace,youcanrunmorecampaignswithbetterinsightandanalysisinlesstime.Italsoeliminatestheneedtodownloadanduploadexcel/csvfileseachtimeyouwanttorunsomething,sinceyoucanselectpreviouslyusedquerynamesandrefreshthequeryfromwithinAudienceBuilder.Instructions:Therearetwopartstotheprocess–creatingthequeryinAudienceBuilderandpushingtoFacebook,andcreatingtheadandtargetingthelistinFacebook.YouwillneedtohaveaFacebookadsaccountforthisintegrationtowork,sosignupormakesureyouhaveaccesstoyourbrand’sFacebookadaccountbeforeyougetstarted.PartOne–AudienceBuilder(OnQ):

1. CreateyourAudienceBuilder(OnQ)queryandsaveit.Sinceyou’lllikelyhavelotsofdifferentsegmentsovertimewhereyou’llwanttocompareperformance,werecommendusingaconsistentnamingconventionthroughoutyourteamforeasieranalysisandaccess.

2. Gettointegrationsscreen:Menu-Activate–Integrations,andclickontheFacebooklogo.Everyonehasaccessbydefault,butpleasecontactyouraccountmanagerifyoucan’taccessitorrunintoanytrouble.

3. AuthorizeFacebookadaccountaccess,whichwillrequireyourFBusernameandpassword

4. Clickon“SelectAudience”,searchforyoursavedquerynameandclick“Open”thennamethelistandaddadescription.Youcanalsochoosewhetherornottorefreshthequery(goodforreusingsavedlists)andchoosewhichfieldstopushtoFacebook.WearemostlylimitedtoonlythesixfieldslistedwhichisaFacebookrestriction.
