What is Wrong with Conspiracy Theories?

They play on our mistrust of those in authority (1 Tim. 6:1-6; 2:1-3; 1 Peter 2:13-17; Romans 13:7)

They cause people to think and speak evil of others (Titus 3:1-3; 1 Peter 2:1-2; Prov. 6:16-19; Romans 1:29)

They propagate fear (Isaiah 8:12; 41:10-13; Luke 12:4; 2 Kings 6:15-17; Psalm 34:7)

They play to people’s ignorance and they are not founded in truth (2 Peter 2:12; Proverbs 11:9)

They hide the real problem (Isaiah 51:12-13)
