MINISTRIES COURAGE TO CHANGE
Joshua did not let the natural time of the setting of the sun deter
his victory in battle. Although God was winning the battle
against the odds of five kings, Joshua called on Him to make the
sun and moon stand still. At first glance a task might seem too
great for you. You may try to make a schedule, but confusion
and fear set in. However deep within your heart God is saying,
“Stay where you are. Trust me. I’ll help you.” God’s desire is to
guide you at every turn in life, and He has promised to lead you
past places of difficulty and extreme pressure in order to prove
His faithfulness. You never have to be afraid, because He
promises to provide all you need. Do as Joshua did, trust Him to
provide.
LOVE IN ACTION We want to thank all who helped with the adopt a highway trash
day! Carolyn Sturm, Beth Sims, Mike Williamson, Anita
Vaughan, John Love, Brian Vaughan, Sharon McClead and for
Carrie Love who worked and organized the day. This is just an-
other small way we can serve our community. God can use us in
sooo many different ways! Each of us have abilities and jobs we
do each day. No matter what our job is, even picking up trash,
we should view it as where God has placed us for his glory. Our
tasks may become easier if we remind ourselves that we need
to bring God's purpose to this task. Now have a great week at
work!
H.O.P.E. The HOPE group will be meeting on Wednesday evening only
from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. During the summer months, the plan is to
discuss different topics every other week and to have guest
speakers at some of the meetings. If you or anyone you know
may be interested in joining this group of ladies, please contact
Sharon McClead.
