13 Remove posteriors,replace with BennettFossas. Set Bennett at 5˚.Check for any lateralmovement. If there ismore than .002”, returnunit to factory for repair.

2 Insert posteriors into upper.CHECK: Posteriors shouldslip into upper freely.

3 Align yellow line of posteriorto 30˚ mark of upper. Tightenthumbscrew. Repeat forother side.

4 CHECK: Area under gaugeshould be smooth.Mount gauge block ontolower.

5 Mount adjustable incisalguide. 6 CHECK: Check that there is

free rotation of condylarballs.

7 Mount upper assembly tolower assembly. Balls shouldmove freely in posteriortracks without lateralmovement.

8 CHECK to see that cylindricalgauge blocks are alignedproperly. VERIFY by visualinspection and by using finger-tips to check alignment ofcylinders. Alignment can also bechecked with .002” shim.Overlap of cylinders should notexceed .002” in either direction.If aligned within tolerance, goto step 12. If not, go to step 9.

9 If articulator is out ofalignment, loosen bothcondylar shafts’ set screws.Set screws are 5/64”.

12 VERIFY alignment inanterior/posterior directionwithin .002” using sameprocedure as step 8. If notwithin .002”, return unit tofactory for repair.

14VERIFY: Verify incisal pinlines up correctly. Loosenthumbnut. Drop incisalpin. When pin is on guide,dark line should line up.Calibration is complete.

1 CHECK: Area under gaugeshould be smooth. Mountupper half of gauge andtighten. Raise incisal pin 3mm.The pin should not touch theadjustable incisal guide.

11 Lock set screws afterlateral alignment isachieved.

10 With thumbs, gently pushon condyle shafts, movingupper laterally until upperand lower gauges line upwithin .002”. CHECK: .002”alignment can be verifiedwith shim stock.
