Periodic maintenance
Please check the periodic maintenance for the
sensors in the sensor specific manuals
Obstruction light; Check that the LEDs in the light
are OK. (The more LEDs are inoperative, the lower
is the intensity of the light)
Battery back up: Disconnect the voltage supply tothe battery charger and check that the back up
time is according to product specification /
customer requirement. The back up time for with a
new battery is very long; app 3 days for 6 Ah
option and 1 - 2 weeks for 48 Ah option.
Clean the surface of the solar panel and measure
with multi meter that the unit is charging

Trouble shootingProblem Probable cause Remedy
AWSS301 is sendingslashes(////) instead of oneor more of the sensorreadings.
Please note that slashesare sent if thecorresponding sensor isnot connected to theAWSS301.
The sensor wireconnections / sensorwires are defective.
Sensor(s) is(are)defettive
The sensor is missing.QML101 logger isexpecting all optionalsensors to beconnected. Slashesare OK for thesensors that are not
included in theAWSS301.
Check the terminal connections in the AWSSBOX301. Check that the wires are according tothe delivery documentation. If OK, check thecondition of the wires.
If above OK, the most probable cause of themissing data is a faulty sensor. In this case thesensor should be replaced.
AWSS301 is not sendinganything (nothing is seenon the screen).
Press and keep down the reset button for a fewseconds. AWSS301 will restart and display:"Using blank configuration". After this, theproper configuration must be downloaded!Type openand press enter. The command hasto be typed exactly right before it can beexecuted.
The terminalconnection is notopen.
Correct PC port and AWSS301 com portsettings and check the cable connection.
AWSS301 will not open forcommands.
AWSS301 is notreceiving power.
Check connections and power supply.
The Setup file doesnot exist in Cfgdirectory.
Copy or load the file to the correct directoryAfter reset, AWSS301displays "!Erroneous setupfile".

Configuration file
AWSS301 is always delivered with factory
installed configuration file
The used configuration file depends on the
selected communication option and pressure
optionIf wrong file is installed, the AWSS301 does not
perform any measurements or transmit data
In the following slides there is described how theconfiguration file is loaded
