1. What kind of things are in the magazine?• Fashion, music, art, photography2. Who is the audience/target audience? How do you know? (look at cover, adverts, style of writing, length of articles etc)a. Niche or mass audience? Why?• Niche audience. The magazine contains topics such as art, music and culture,
aimed at a niche audience of sophisticated young adults (19-24) who have an interest in these topics, as well as non-mainstream music.
3. How is the magazine organised/structures?• Minimalistic. The cover usually has a headshot of the months cover star and the
articles are mostly plain text with images strategically arranged to look slightly out of place in the text.

documentary, fit in?• As this is a genre-specific music magazine, our double page spread may not fit in
with the theme of the magazine.

The Wire is a magazine dedicated to music – especially undiscovered musicians.
In this magazine the tone could be described as calm and peaceful due to the use of white, cream and light shades of brown.
This is the front cover of the magazine and we can see that it uses special effects and is an example of visual hierarchy.
