JESUSSAVES!TheentirechapterofPsalm20hasspoken
loudlyandprofoundlytousthispastmonth.WearefaithfultoallthattheLordhasputintoourhandstoproclaimGod’sgreatloveandsalvationtothosewhowillbelieveuponthenameofJesus.EverydaytheGospelisbeingpresentedthroughteaching,preachingandmusictomillionsofpeoplelisteningtotheVOICEOFHOPEradiostationsandrespondingtoHisword.
IthinkoftheiconiclandmarksignperchedhighaboveatheaterindowntownLosAngeles…ItwasmovedthereovertwentyyearsagoafterthefamousChurchoftheOpenDoorwasrazedtomakewayforaskyscraper.Thetwosimplewords“JesusSaves”havebeenemittingitsownformof“broadcasting”overtheCityofAngelsfor70years.Formillionsaroundtheworld,intimesoftrouble,hopevanishesquicklyandweareleftindifficultcircumstances.However,hopeisnotlost…Youjusthavetolookuptoseeit!Psalm20:2-3says:“MayhesendyouhelpfromhissanctuaryandstrengthenyoufromJerusalem.”ThisisourprayerforyouasmanyreadingtodayareintheirownrealstruggleandneedingtheassurancethatGodisstillonHisthroneandcaresverydeeplyforyou.
“JesusSaves”isnotjustahistoricsignonabuildingoramerecatch-phrase.ItisabroadcastfromheavenitselfbytheCreatoroftheuniversetohiscreation!ItisTheTRUTH…notjustatruth(John14:6).There’sadifferenceisn’tthere?

WhenJesussays,“Iamtheway,thetruth,andthelife.NoonecomestotheFatherexceptthroughMe.”JesusdeclaredHimselftobenotonlyourSaviordeliverer…buttheoneandtheonlywaytogetthere!Thedevilhascreatedalotof“noise”and“distraction”aroundthisEternalTruth,buttheTruthdoesnotchangeaboutJesus!Proverbs18:10declares,“ThenameoftheLORDisastrongfortress;thegodlyruntoHimandaresafe.”WehavefoundthistobesotrueaswehaverunstraighttoHimforsafetymany,manytimes.
ItisthismessageofHopethatisbeingbroadcastovertheVOICEOFHOPEradiostationsreachingIsrael,theMiddleEast,AfricaandLatinAmerica.TheHolySpiritisactiveinnurturingthisWordintoaharvestofFaithtothosewhohearandbelieve.For“FaithcomesbyhearingandhearingbytheWordofGod.”(Rom10:17)ThisistheworkoftheHolySpiritinus,andthenflowingthrougheachoneofusasweextendthehandofHishealing,savingWordoutovertheVOICEOFHOPEradiostations!Amen!
