The entire chapter of Psalm 20 has spoken loudly and profoundly to us this past month. We are faithful to all that the Lord has put into our hands to proclaim God’s great love and salvation to those who will believe upon the name of Jesus. Every day the Gospel is being presented through teaching, preaching and music to millions of people listening to the VOICE OF HOPE radio stations and responding to His word. I think of the iconic landmark sign perched high above a theater in downtown Los Angeles… It was moved there over twenty years ago after the famous Church of the Open Door was razed to make way for a skyscraper. The two simple words “Jesus Saves” have been emitting its own form of “broadcasting” over the City of Angels for 70 years. For millions around the world, in times of trouble, hope vanishes quickly and we are left in difficult circumstances. However, hope is not lost… You just have to look up to see it! Psalm 20:2-3 says: “May he send you help from his sanctuary and strengthen you from Jerusalem.” This is our prayer for you as many reading today are in their own real struggle and needing the assurance that God is still on His throne and cares very deeply for you. “Jesus Saves” is not just a historic sign on a building or a mere catch-phrase. It is a broadcast from heaven itself by the Creator of the universe to his creation! It is The TRUTH…not just a truth (John 14:6). There’s a difference isn’t there? John and Heather not far from the VOICE OF HOPE radio station in Israel. You can see…the Middle East nations are within clear earshot of this strategic radio station!

JESUSSAVES!TheentirechapterofPsalm20hasspoken

loudlyandprofoundlytousthispastmonth.WearefaithfultoallthattheLordhasputintoourhandstoproclaimGod’sgreatloveandsalvationtothosewhowillbelieveuponthenameofJesus.EverydaytheGospelisbeingpresentedthroughteaching,preachingandmusictomillionsofpeoplelisteningtotheVOICEOFHOPEradiostationsandrespondingtoHisword.

IthinkoftheiconiclandmarksignperchedhighaboveatheaterindowntownLosAngeles…ItwasmovedthereovertwentyyearsagoafterthefamousChurchoftheOpenDoorwasrazedtomakewayforaskyscraper.Thetwosimplewords“JesusSaves”havebeenemittingitsownformof“broadcasting”overtheCityofAngelsfor70years.Formillionsaroundtheworld,intimesoftrouble,hopevanishesquicklyandweareleftindifficultcircumstances.However,hopeisnotlost…Youjusthavetolookuptoseeit!Psalm20:2-3says:“MayhesendyouhelpfromhissanctuaryandstrengthenyoufromJerusalem.”ThisisourprayerforyouasmanyreadingtodayareintheirownrealstruggleandneedingtheassurancethatGodisstillonHisthroneandcaresverydeeplyforyou.

“JesusSaves”isnotjustahistoricsignonabuildingoramerecatch-phrase.ItisabroadcastfromheavenitselfbytheCreatoroftheuniversetohiscreation!ItisTheTRUTH…notjustatruth(John14:6).There’sadifferenceisn’tthere?

WhenJesussays,“Iamtheway,thetruth,andthelife.NoonecomestotheFatherexceptthroughMe.”JesusdeclaredHimselftobenotonlyourSaviordeliverer…buttheoneandtheonlywaytogetthere!Thedevilhascreatedalotof“noise”and“distraction”aroundthisEternalTruth,buttheTruthdoesnotchangeaboutJesus!Proverbs18:10declares,“ThenameoftheLORDisastrongfortress;thegodlyruntoHimandaresafe.”WehavefoundthistobesotrueaswehaverunstraighttoHimforsafetymany,manytimes.

ItisthismessageofHopethatisbeingbroadcastovertheVOICEOFHOPEradiostationsreachingIsrael,theMiddleEast,AfricaandLatinAmerica.TheHolySpiritisactiveinnurturingthisWordintoaharvestofFaithtothosewhohearandbelieve.For“FaithcomesbyhearingandhearingbytheWordofGod.”(Rom10:17)ThisistheworkoftheHolySpiritinus,andthenflowingthrougheachoneofusasweextendthehandofHishealing,savingWordoutovertheVOICEOFHOPEradiostations!Amen!
