Studies

We will be learning

about the affect the Civil

War had on daily life in

South Carolina once the

war was over. We will

also be learning about

Reconstruction. Your

child will have a few

sheets and flip books in

his/her social studies

notebook, along with two

presentations in

“Showbie” on his/her

iPad. Our test is tenta-

tively set for Friday,

April 17th.

Science

Students are continuing to

learn about animal adapta-

tions, food chains, and habi-

tats. There will be a quiz on

Friday. Review all the notes

binder.

May1,7,8 for 4-5th graders).

These are important days for

your child. Try to keep these

days free of other appoint-

ments and be here on time.

Reading

In reading we will begin re-viewing all of the standards and skills we have learned throughout the year. Stu-dents will practice reading passages and answering both multiple choice and constructive response ques-tions to help them prepare for the upcoming Aspire Test.

Math

This week we will work

on geometry. Please

look in your child’s math

notebook for information

on classifying shapes. Be

sure to study your mul-

tiplication facts each

night for the 10 day

challenge.
