Management & Leadership Seminar:After 6 years, CIM conducted a Management and Leadership Seminar at Kalimpong
(West Bengal), which was held from 17 - 19 April, 2012. Participants (Leaders & Senior
Pastors from different Mission and Church) across West Bengal, Sikkim to North East
participated in this program. Need of the hour subjects like Indian Resource Mobilisation
with different perspective of raising funds in India was challenged by Mr. Joseph Mathai
(Habitat) and Advocate B.D. Das. Indian constitution and Managing Children's Home by
Prof. S D Jeyakumar (CIM) opened many of the participants eyes. Right to Information
Act was handled by an experienced Advocate B.D. Das which was totally new to all the
leaders. Finally the hot and the latest subject on FCR Act 2010 was handled by Mr. Jacob
Varghese (CIM).
Leaders (Seminar Participants) speak:Income tax was profitable to my ministry. I will mobilize to raise funds & also
encourage others to do so. Opened my eyes that fund raising is friends raising.
I was looking for funds from abroad but this session helped me to learn as howto raise funds from India for my ministry.Found very interesting and removedmany negative ideas on fund raising. The seminar has equipped me on various
subjects on which I was so ignorant about.Partnership Seminar: Training program for Navjeeva Seva Mandal (NSM) was held on 9th and 10th April at
Vellore (Tamil Nadu). We had about 35 leaders of the organisation attending the

program. Topics were Jesus model on leadership, Balancing family & Ministry,
Leadership at work and Leading Children Home (Hostel). Resource Persons: Mr. J.S.
Anbu (CIM), Ps. A.A. Gnanasekaran (LWMC), Mr. Jay Clark (KF) and Prof. S D
Jeyakumar (CIM).

Partnership seminar for Gospel Echoing Missionary Society (GEMS), Bihar from 8th to
10th May 2012 at Ranchi.

Certificate Course for Missionary Training Institute & Bible College Students: The Certificate Courseon Christian Management in Basics of Christian Management for
the Meghalaya Mission Movementwould be held from 22th to 25th of May, 2012 at Tura
(Meghalaya). Certificate Program has been finalized with Assemblies of God Bible College, Madurai
(Tamil Nadu).
M.A., MCM, PGDCM and DCM in Christian Management Courses : The coaching classes of Semester - 2 students were held from 17 th to 20th April in the
Synod Headquarters of Church of North India (CNI Bhawan).
The first session was taken by Mr. Jaydeep Das (World Vision) on the topic Organisation
Management. Second session was on Project Management taken by Mr. Aby Alexandar
(CIM). The sessions for the third day were Management of Christian Services
Introduction by Mr. Paul Samuel (Former Director, CIM), Management of Health
Servicesby Mr. Justine Jebakumar (Habitat), Management of Educational Services by
Fr. Kuriala Chittattukalam (CBCI) and Dr. Shailendra Awale, (CNI). On the fourth day
Mr. G. Chidambaram (Shalom) facilitated the session on Finance Management.

have been outlined. Book is expected to be released by October, 2012.

SPECIAL EVENT
CIM conducted a breakfast program for the Christian professionals on 5th April, 2012
in Chennai. Around 45 delegates attended the program. The Guest Speakers were
Mr. John Samuel (passionate pioneer researcher in the field of talent diagnostics)and Dr. Skip Moen (author, management consultant and professor in religion,
ethics, philosophy and human sciences). Their sessions were lively and made
everyone to think about the fundamentals of work and start the day with fresh and
good thoughts.
