1 Introduction In order to take AIESEC in Peru to the next level, it is needed to have a solid plan that really brings the changes that
the organization has to do right now. This is basically what this document is here for, to show the next steps that
AIESEC is going to follow in the country to make sure that an even better future is going to come.
It has six different parts, as it is stated bellow:
Our Why: the most important thing to drive one country is really to have it clear what is the reason why we
do things, and this is the objective of this part, to make everyone knows why things will be done in the 2012-
13 term;
Our Drivers: not only defining the why is important, but also knowing properly how we, as an organization,
are going to get there and in this part of the document you are going to find it out;
Our Impact: the impact we deliver inside AIESEC is done by all the experiences that we generate and it is
something really important to know what is the ambition for this inside the MC term;
Our Network: one of the most important roles of the MC is to manage the network in order to provide the
proper development to it and make sure that it keeps on growing;
Our Contribution: finally we need to know what the MC is going to do specifically in each function, as the
concrete contribution to the entire network.
Besides, there is also one part of the document that explains with more details how the process was run and the
most important points of it.
Enjoy it!

2 Our Why Have you ever imagined the situation in which as many people as possible knew
AIESEC in Peru? Did you always want that AIESEC in Peru was recognized for all the
impact that it does? Did you think that AIESEC in Peru should have a more active
role and cooperate more with other countries and organizations?
Well… We also thought the same!
The MC of AIESEC in Peru has one big objective that is to make AIESEC in Peru more
known for all of our stakeholders. We think that keep on saying that our organization
has a lot of potential or that is the organization of the future, or even that can drive
the growth, is no longer more applicable. We think that the time for AIESEC in Peru is
here and now!
In order to make the organization better and to make it deliver and support better
experiences, more people need to know that AIESEC in Peru exists and that we are
here doing a very good job. So basically, we see a situation of AIESEC in Peru delivering a lot of impact that is
recognized by all our stakeholders and that puts the country in the position that it really has the power to be!
Besides, delivering the experiences and being know among our
stakeholders is not enough. Another very impactful thing for AIESEC in
Peru is to deliver Relevant experiences. By relevant experiences we
mean real life-changing experiences that are worth to everyone that
lives it and that bring the development that the person looks for.
By doing this we want to get to the point that AIESEC is not an option,
but the solution for the current state that we have in Peru. The simple
fact of having our stakeholders wanting to have one AIESEC Experience because it is really something meaningful
is the ideal state that we want to achieve. This will make AIESEC a real need for Peru and give a very unique
attractiveness for us, assuring that this active role that the organization can have really happens.
So, basically this is the reason why this MC is here: to make AIESEC in Peru known and playing the role that it should
do for delivering relevant experiences that are needed for Peru.
But we all know that the fact of achieving this situation demands some behaviors for all the members of AIESEC in
Peru, what is the next part of Our Why. For this, three main behaviors were defined to be seen happening in one
year inside AIESEC in Peru: culture of excellence, changing mindsets and inspiring leaders.
The first one is connected to the value of AIESEC striving for excellence. AIESEC in Peru is able
to grow a lot in operations, to deliver a high volume of experiences, and, at the same time, to
keep excellent processes, so that the clients and key-stakeholders are totally satisfied with the
way it works. In order to be relevant and be well positioned, the organization has to have
sustainable processes, has to take care of the risks and to make sure that every time all of the
members are going to give their best, so that the entire organization can keep growing even
more time after time. If we do not excel on the needed things, the potential of AIESEC in Peru will not be fulfilled.
AIESEC in Peru | Julian Arce 229, Lima | +51 01 637 7507 | www.aiesec.org/pe
The second one is connected to a very important behavior that growing and leading
organizations should always have. If AIESEC in Peru really wants to be well-positioned and
relevant, there is no way we keep on doing the same things always, we need to evolve and
learn how to do things in a different way to get to a higher level. And a very good thing to
keep in mind is not to have mindsets, not to have the feeling like: “we have always done it
like this…”. Leading organizations should really learn from the past, but have to think out of the box and make sure
that the needed evolution really goes to the ground.
And last, but not least, there is the behavior of really inspiring leaders of AIESEC in Peru. For all
the changes that can come to AIESEC in Peru, it is really needed to develop true leadership in
all the members, so that we can amplify our impact even more. When an organization starts
working with a bigger quantity of experiences, there is this urgent need to empower people
more and more and to make sure that all the members have the freedom and use all the
resources they have to achieve the impact that was promised and to make our stakeholders
satisfied with the service that we offered them.
Simply this is Our Why, the tangible things that we want to
deliver and also the behaviors we want to have in the end of
the term.
These are our very humble dreams that will bring to AIESEC in
Peru a total new way of doing things and that will make sure
the needed development will come!
We invite all of you to share the same
dream that we do, so that all of this can be
possible and we all can bring AIESEC in
Peru to the next level, even closer to
engage and develop every young person
here in Peru

3 Our Direction Having just a good dream is not enough, otherwise it is not achievable. Also another very important thing is to
have it clear what is the path that will be tracked so that the dream becomes true.
For that, AIESEC in Peru has it very clear what has to be done:
National Programs Implementation
Leadership Development for Sustainable Growth
Needed Social Impact to Peru
3.1 National Programs Implementation To have AIESEC in Peru working stronger as one network and really positioning the country in a better way it is
needed to have strong national programs that all of us use. This brings a lot of benefits in two aspects: internal and
external.
When we talk about internal benefits, we deal with a better management of supply and demand of exchange,
making sure that we offer what we can really deliver and that we can also dare more to raise more internships just
knowing how the international supply and demand works. This brings to the organization not only more trust,
because we sell what we can deliver, but also agility, allowing faster and more efficient processes. Another
important point of working with national programs is that it brings a more structured management model of these
programs internally, making sure that we can share better management ways of it and that we have a clear
evolution of this management model according to the maturity of each entity.
When it comes to external benefits, we talk about a focused and oriented usage of all the efforts of the entire
AIESEC in Peru network. We do not talk more about specific projects with local scopes, but actually about national
projects, that happen in a network of 600 people, in four different cities, what gives an even better confidence to
the product itself and also makes all AIESEC in Peru position the same brand, making it even stronger when the
efforts are all aiming the same objective. This makes all the brand of the organization stronger and our products
become even more know in the market.
3.2 Leadership Development for Sustainable Growth Very connected to one of the behaviors to be delivered, this is a very crucial thing to focus, so that the network
can be each time more independent and manage even better a greater amount of experiences in Peru. It is
needed to focus on the leadership development to make sure the experiences will be challenging and that the
organization will manage them properly.
The leadership development is the focus to bring to tangible things to the network: growth and sustainability. When
we talk about the first one, we set the goal of growing more than 100% in all exchange programmes, making sure
that the organization is really exploring the potential it has. And when we say sustainability, we talk about making
AIESEC in Peru | Julian Arce 229, Lima | +51 01 637 7507 | www.aiesec.org/pe
all of the members contribute more and more to our operations, bringing the goal of achieving the ratio one
member, one exchange realized.
Very challenging goals come from this driver, but the most important thing is that the solution chosen, developing
true leadership, is really a very important and helpful way to make sure that this will be achieved during the term.
3.3 Needed Social Impact to Peru The last important focus, to connect more AIESEC in Peru to the external World, is to approach the organization
more to the needs of the country. In order to position ourselves more in the country and make it relevant, AIESEC
cannot keep on doing things without considering where we are at: Peru. This should never get out of the minds of
all AIESEC members, because the organization has to play the role of solution and, in order to do so, our impact
has to be the one that Peru is looking for.
One interesting thing of this driver is that the focus of the impact is the social one, focusing the organization in this
term towards the Global Community Development programees, exploring the scope that they have of dealing
directly with communities and making this impact more tangible, working really as Social Entrepreneurship and
bringing more the leadership behavior out of the members that are involved in them.
This is a very important thing, whenever it is indentified a need in the society, AIESEC has to play the role of working
with whoever it is needed to solve it, making this contribution to everyone even greater and, most importantly, the
one needed to who is impacted by it.
National Programmes Implementation
Leadership Development for Sustainable Growth
Needed Social Impact to Peru
Having a clear direction is the
first step to success.
All of the organization has to
follow the same one so that it
really brings the changes that
are needed in the overall scope.
AIESEC in Peru | Julian Arce 229, Lima | +51 01 637 7507 | www.aiesec.org/pe
4 Our Impact The way to measure the impact that is delivered inside AIESEC is to know how many experiences are being
delivering by the organization.
It is not only a matter of numbers, but a matter of knowing how many lives we have changed as an organization, is
a matter of knowing how many people were impacted by AIESEC and want to become change agents, is a
matter of really seeing the contribution that the organization is giving to Peru.
When it is considered the experiences AIESEC delivers, it is considered the AIESEC Experience and all of the four
programmes: Global Community Development Programme (incoming and outgoing), Global Internship
Programme (incoming and outgoing), Team Leader Programme, Team Member Programme. In a national level,
another important measurable is the number of entities that the organization has, that shows the reach that
AIESEC is having in the country.
So, by default, these are the goals that one national entity should have: iGCDP, iGIP, oGCDP, oGIP, TLP, TMP and
Entities.
But in this year’s case, AIESEC is looking for something more. One very important thing that should happen more
and more inside AIESEC is having people living more than one programme of AIESEC, so that we can provide
different developing experiences to more youngsters of Peru and this is measured by the number of Upsales that
we have. Another important thing is to grant AIESEC Experiences to more and more people, making the
experience more flexible and start engaging people sooner in AIESEC. For this case AIESEC in Peru is going to work
with the Associate Membership Programme (AMP), making the Engagement with AIESEC better and engaging
more people with the organization.
After knowing all of the goals, the numbers for the term are:
Indicator Term Goal
iGCDP 200
iGIP 50
oGCDP 400
oGIP 100
Exchange 750
TLP 510
TMP 2340

Upsales 200
AMP 750
Entities 14

5 Our Network This is the most important role of the MC, to make sure that the network is evolving and structured in a way that it
delivers all the impact that the organization looks for in a national level. And when we talk about the development
of the network, we talk about two different ways of growing: each entity itself and the number of entities.
During this term, the focus of growing each entity itself will have two main focuses: LC Coach Model and Maturity
Model. The first one refers to have an LC Coach model that has a bigger influence on how the LC is going and
really provide valuable inputs to the coachees. All the LC Coachs are inside LCD because this will be the total
focus of the members of this team, to make sure that all the direction and development of the LCs is dealt as it has
to be, granting the development of the entity in the end.
The other one is to establish a model that shows the path that LCs need to follow so that they can grow sustainably
and achieve bigger levels in each function. This model counts with different levels and really shows the easiest and
most suggested way to develop the entity. This brings more direction and saves a lot of time to everybody, making
the organization more efficient and focused on implementing things.
When increasing the number of entities is considered, AIESEC 2015 mid-term ambition and BHAG come up and the
expansion need is there. If the expansion process does not start now, things will be way much harder in the future
to be accomplished. That is why expansion is also a focus for this term, so that the future state can be achieved
and more young people from Peru can get to know AIESEC and live AIESEC experiences.
The network is where everything starts inside AIESEC, it is our
engine, our fuel and all that we need to bring the impact
to the World.
It really has to be dealt very carefully so that the
development comes and in the end a better, stronger and
more powerful one comes, bringing the needed
organizational development that the country needs.
We focus on simple things (coach model, maturity model
and expansion) to make them properly implemented and
really bring the difference to our network.

6 Our Contribution After knowing the entire strategic plan of the MC, the last very important point is to know what is actually going to
be the functional contribution that the team has to AIESEC Peru.

7 The History behind It The planning process of the MC lasted for one and a half month. A lot of meetings, thoughts, discussions, insights,
time and many other things were spent so that, in the end, the best thing could be delivered to AIESEC in Peru.
Most importantly not only the best thing was done, but also the dreams that we as MC Suyo have been delivered
along with this plan.
The basic process that was followed was the one in the picture below. After the MC Team Days everything really
started and the MC was on the way to get to this document.
When we analyzed all of the dreams that we have, the difference that we wanted to make to the network and
the future state that AIESEC in Peru is going to have, a very important thing for our identity was to connect our
name to something big and historical of the Peruvian history. The most important thing that came to our minds was
the Inka Empire.
We really want to make AIESEC in Peru to live moments like the Inka Empire did and to show to the World why we
are here, the relevance that we have to the country and that we are a strong nation, cooperating to achieve
different and higher levels.
When we reflected on that time, a very good image that came to our mind was the Suyo, the different Inka
Empires that were part of the big Inka Empire and that were aligned, focused and shared the same values that
the Inka Empire had. The Inka Empire without the Suyos was nothing and the Suyos themselves were the Inka
Empire.
AIESEC in Peru | Julian Arce 229, Lima | +51 01 637 7507 | www.aiesec.org/pe
So this is basically what unites us, as a team, to make AIESEC in Peru have golden times, to impact positively the
society and to connect itself even more to achieve a very great difference to the country, showing the
importance of every part to make the whole better.
We, as MC Suyo, share with you our dreams and we are eager to give our best to make all of this come true!
