Accelerated CO-PA Reporting Using Virtual InfoProvider What is it? Description and Features
Description Features
InfoProvider that permits analysis and
reporting of the Profitability Analysis
data with the BI Suite of Tools
Offers a modern reporting interface using the SAP
BusinessObjects reporting tools or Business Explorer
(BEx) queries directly against the CO-PA data
The system automatically and
dynamically creates the InfoProvider
and the corresponding InfoObjects
using the definition of the CO-PA
Operating Concern
Transaction KEIP
Avoid the need for modeling of the InfoProvider in the
Data Warehousing Workbench (RSA1)
Works for both types of Profitability Analysis:
Costing-based and/or Account-based
The VIP is created in the embedded
BW platform within the ERP system
Does not require loading of data into a separate SAP
Business Warehouse
Acceleration through SAP HANA Using CO-PA Accelerator performance gains from HANA
The the Virtual InfoProvider does not address Enterprise Data Warehouse use cases,
so CO-PA reporting in a separate SAP BW instance may still be recommended.
