    If you could eat any type of food allday long, what would you choose?Some people might pick hamburgers orchicken. Others might prefer fruit.What about sugar? Can you imagineeating sugar all the time? Believe it ornot, plants do. Plants make their ownfood. They make glucose. Glucose issugar. Plants make this sugar through aprocess known as photosynthesis. Thesugar made by plants, however, is notthe same kind of sugar that people eat.It is a simple sugar. The plants use thissimple substance. If people ate sugar all the time, they would bevery sick. Plants, on the other hand, use these sugars to help themgrow.
