What about sugar? Can you imagine eating sugar  all  the time? Believe it or not, plants do. Plants make their own food. They make glucose. Glucose is sugar. Plants make this sugar through a process known as photosynthesis. The sugar made by plants, however, is not the same kind of sugar that people eat. It is a simple sugar.
