Course Selection involves
Six elective offerings – students are able to choose
across all Year 10 elective offerings. There are no compulsory elective areas. This offers students excellent choice to target their interests and relevant subjects for their particular pathway.
Acceleration opportunities (VCE / VET at Year 10)
Students have the opportunity to undertake a VCE Unit 1/2 Subject or a VET subject. These options take up 2 elective spots out of the 6.

VCE and VET – the advantages
Can be opportunity to enhance your VCE by enabling breadth of subjects.
Can enhance University Entrance (ATAR score) if followed by units 3 & 4 study.
Applicants will gain an insight into the requirements and structure of the VCE System and so be well prepared for VCE the following year
But it can also create anxiety and increased workload.

Acceptance into a Unit 1/2 VCE Subject
To be considered for a Unit 1 and 2 subject, Year 9 students will need to demonstrate the following in their Year 9 semester 1 report:
80% average across all learning tasks, in the subject area where the student wishes to accelerate
Being at standard or above standard across all subjects
Good to Excellent in the work habits across most subjects
80% attendance
