Catherine Chamberlain began competing in the discipline of dressage at the age of nine and has found much success at the junior and young rider levels. In 2009 she and Verdicci were members of the Region 5 Junior Team at the Adequan/FEI North American Junior & Young Rider Championships presented by Gotham North (NAJYRC). The pair returned to the NAJYRC in 2010 and won Junior Individual and Freestyle Silver medals. They then were the Junior Reserve National Champions at the Collecting Gaits Farm/USEF Dressage Festival of Champions.

In 2011 Chamberlain and Verdicci moved up to the Young Rider level and earned multiple top placings in CDI competition.

Chamberlain began 2014 with wins in the Open Prix St. Georges and Intermediaire I with Verdicci at the Dressage Getaway. The pair was second in the FEI Young Riders Team and Individual Tests at the Mid-Winter Dressage Fair CDIY. They had another stellar competition at the Festival of the Horse CDIY, winning the FEI Young Riders Freestyle and coming in second in the FEI Young Riders Team and Individual Tests. At the Golden State Dressage Classic CDIY Chamberlain and Verdicci were first in the FEI Young Rider Individual Test and second in the FEI Young Rider Team Test. The pair returned to the NAJYRC with the Region 7 Team and had a fantastic championship, claiming the Young Rider Team, Individual, and Freestyle Gold medals.

Beginning 2015 on top form, Chamberlain rode Ver-dicci to the win in the Open Young Rider Grand Prix and a second-place finish in the Open Intermediaire II at the Dressage Getaway. She won the FEI Young Rider Team and Individual Tests with Avesto Van Weltevreden, while finishing first in the U-25 Intermediaire II and third in the U-25 Grand Prix with Verdicci at the Mid-Winter Dressage Fair CDI. Chamberlain’s success continued at the Capistrano Dressage International CDI, claiming top honors in the U-25 Intermediaire II and Grand Prix with Verdicci and the FEI Young Riders Team and Individual Test with Avesto Van Weltevreden. At the Festival of the Horse CDI she and Avesto Van Weltevreden swept all of the FEI Young Rider classes, while she and Verdicci were second in both the U-25 Intermediaire II and U-25 Grand Prix. At the Del Mar National CDI Chamberlain was one-two in the FEI Young Rider Team and Individual Tests with her two mounts, and won the FEI Young Rider Freestlye with Avesto Van Weltevreden.

Ayden Uhlir has found much success as a junior and young rider and is quickly climbing the ranks. In 2012 she was the USEF Junior Dressage National Champion with Sjapoer at the USEF Dressage Festival of Cham-pions. At the Adequan/FEI North American Junior & Young Rider Championships presented by Gotham North (NAJYRC) the pair helped the Region 9 Junior team to their first ever medal, a Team Bronze. In addi-tion, Uhlir and Sjapoer won Junior Individual Gold and Freestyle Bronze medals. Uhlir was awarded the Dres-sage Style Award at the NAJYRC and won the USDF Youth Sportsman of the Year nomination for the USEF Youth Sportsman of the Year.

In 2013 Uhlir moved up to the young rider ranks. She and Sjapoer returned to NAJYRC competing for the Region 6 Young Rider team. The pair brought

home a Team Silver and Individual and Freestyle Gold medals. At the U.S. Dressage Festival of Champi-ons presented by The Dutta Corp. Uhlir and Sjapoer claimed the AGCO/USEF Young Rider Dressage National Championship title.

Uhlir stepped up to the Small Tour level in 2014, win-ning two National Prix St. Georges classes with Sjapoer at The Dressage Affaire. Next, Uhlir and Sjapoer won the Prix St. Georges and Intermediaire I JR/YR classes at the Del Mar National Dressage Show.

She began 2015 with second-place finishes in the Prix St. Georges and Intermediaire I National classes with Sjapoer at the Gold Coast Opener. During week seven of the Adequan Global Dressage Festival the pair was second in the CDI1* Intermediaire I Freestyle. At the Houston Dressage Society Spring Classic CDI they won the FEI Young Rider Team Test and were second in the FEI Young Rider Individual Test.

Uhlir is the first equestrian athlete to be sponsored by Nike.

George Williams Chef d’EquipeBorn: September 12, 1955 Residence: Wellington, Fla.

President of the United States Dressage Federa-tion and a member of several United States Equestrian Federation Committees, George Williams is an accom-plished International Grand Prix competitor who is widely renowned in his field. He is a prominent figure in the dressage community whose career highlights with Chuck and Joann Smith’s Grand Prix mare, Rocher, included: three-time Dressage at Devon Grand Prix and Grand Prix Freestyle Champion, 2005 USEF/Collect-ing Gaits Grand Prix National Champion, Team Bronze at 2005 CHIO Aachen, fifth at the 2003 FEI World Cup Final in Sweden, USEF Grand Prix and Grand Prix Free-style Horse of the Year, as well as being named Dressage Horse of the Year by The Chronicle of the Horse. Wil-liams was co-winner of the USEF Equestrian of Honor award for his success in 2005.

traveled to Germany to enroll at the Reitinstitute von Neindorff’, where he earned his German Bronze Rider Medal. Upon returning to the U.S., Williams began train-ing with Karl Mikolka. He also trained in Germany with the former U.S. Dressage team coach and Olympic Gold medalist, Klaus Balkenhol.

In 1981, Williams became a resident rider and trainer for The Tempel Lipizzans in Wadsworth, Ill., in order to continue to work under his mentor, Karl Mikolka. From the summer of 2000 until the spring of 2009, he rode and trained for the Smiths at their Gypsy Woods Farm in Richwood, Ohio. Williams rode and trained for Eliza-beth Juliano’s Havensafe Farm of Middlefield, Ohio and Wellington, Fla., from 2009-2014. During his time at Havensafe Farm, George successfully competed several horses for Juliano. In 2009 the Oldenburg gelding, Don Bailey, was Reserve Champion at the USEF Developing Horse Championships and in 2011 the Oldenburg mare, Horizon, was Reserve Champion in the four-year-old division at the USEF Young Horse Championships. He also had numerous wins, including at the USDF Regional Championships, on Cleopatra and Riccidoff. George now teaches and clinics with Williams Dressage LLC.

In October 2014, Williams was appointed the US Dres-sage Youth Coach.
