glitz (bright colourful things).

Don’t:Have to

much glitz. To much colour can make a website hard to look at.

Have an easy to navigate home page. Make sure everything fits on the page, you shouldn’t have to scroll.

Don’t:

Have to much on your home page. The more you have the harder it is to navigate.

that can be read my all kinds of people.

Don’t:Have a font

that is hard to read. Especially the cursive fonts.

Do:Keep all of

your text boxes and pictures lined up.

Don’t:

Just place boxes everywhere. You should really think of were your placing something before you place it.

has adds, make sure they go with your website.

Don’t:Have adds

that have no relevance to your theme and never have pop-up adds.

description of what your website is about.

Have paragraphs about your website. Try to keep all of your website’s information on in one paragraph.

your website often.

Don’t:Have out of

date information.

Do:

Have colour but keep it simple. Many web sites use the 60/40/10 rule, which is 60% of a base colour 40% of a secondary colour and 10% of a complimentary colour. This makes for a very clean website.

Don’t:

Have an overly large amount of colour.
