A native of Montreal, violinist Laura Nerenberg began violin studies at the age of three. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Ottawa and a Master of Music degree from the Hartt School in Con-necticut. Laura was the Ottawa Symphony Orchestra's Principal Second Violin from 2006 to 2011 and the ensemble's Assis-tant Concertmaster from 2000 to 2006. A versatile musician,

Laura has delved into jazz and improvisation as well as early music performance. She is first violin of the groundbreaking Ottawa Jazz Orchestra and a founding member of Gatineau's Ensemble Prisme. As founder of Rideau Falls Violins, Laura teaches violin and improvisation to children aged 2 to 18 with whom she makes regular appearances at local hospitals and retirement homes. As a Suzuki Violin Teacher, she is sought after to teach at summer institutes and workshops year-round in New Hampshire, Edmonton, Montreal, Quebec City, Boston and beyond.

Thomas Annand studied music at McGill University and the Conservavatoire de Rueil-Malmaison in France where he was a student of Marie-Claire Alain. In 1987 he won First Prize at the National RCCO Competition and has been performing ever since as an organist, harpsichordist, pianist and conductor. For twenty seasons he was the harpsichordist and guest conductor for Thirteen Strings, and he performs regularly with the National Arts Centre Orchestra and Les Violons du Roy. Thomas was also the founding conductor of Capital BrassWorks. He has recorded for CBC Records and has appeared on television, radio and film (Denys Arcand's "Le Règne de la beauté"). In 2004/2005 he presented all of J. S. Bach's major works for harpsichord in a seven-part recital series. He has been Director of Music at St Andrew's Church in Ottawa since 1992, where he has given nearly 200 recitals, which have included the complete works of Franck, Widor, Liszt and Mendelssohn.
