Profile of Speaker :-

Dr. Nezih Altay is a Professor of Supply Chain Management and faculty director of the M.S. in Supply

Chain Management program at the Driehaus College of Business of DePaul University. He holds a BS in

Chemical Engineering from Bogazici University in Istanbul, Turkey, MBA from University of Texas-Pan

American and PhD from Texas A&M University.

As an experienced and highly qualified teacher-scholar, Dr. Altay has been teaching all aspects of Supply

Chain Management and Operations Management since 1999 to Executives, MBAs and undergraduates

around the world. His research specializes in humanitarian supply chains, disruption management, and after-

sale service operations. He has published his research in leading academic journals and presented in national

and international arenas. He also co-edited two books: Service Parts Management: Demand Forecasting and

Inventory Control (2011) and Advances in Managing Humanitarian Operations (2016) both published by

Symbiosis Institute of Operations Management

Springer. He currently serves as the Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Humanitarian Logistics & Supply

Chain Management, and Senior Editor of Production and Operations Management. Dr. Altay is a Fulbright

Scholar and Resilience Research Fellow at Technical University Delft in the Netherlands. He also is a

research partner at the Research Institute on Leadership and Operations in Humanitarian Aid at Kühne

Logistics University in Hamburg. In 2019, for his contributions to the field of humanitarian logistics, Altay

received the Academic/Research Accomplishment Award from the American Logistics Aid Network

(ALAN).

International Journals of Repute.

Editor's choice event will witness the world's top Editors sharing their wisdom on Research and Publishing

Every Second and Fourth Wednesday via virtual platform.

Prof. Nezih Altay was our guest speaker for the webisode. Academicians, Students and Research Scholars

from different institutes, countries actively participated in this session. The session was convened by Prof.

Vandana Sonwaney, Dr.Ramkrishna Manatkar and Dr. Arunkumar O N and witnessed 155 participants. The

event was conducted through Zoom platform and was live streamed through YouTube.

The session commenced with Prof. Vandana Sonwaney delivering a welcome speech followed by Dr.

Arunkumar O N giving a brief about the event and conveying the gratitude to the Guest and participants.

This was followed by a Key-Note address by our guest delivering on topic- Conducting and publishing

meaningful research. The session discussed how to Conducting and publishing meaningful research

After delivery of his speech, the keynote presentation was followed by Q&A session where selected

participants asked their questions. Some questions were collected beforehand. The session ended with a vote

of thanks by Dr.Arunkumar

According to the response received from 46 people, 80.4% of the people rated the session with a score of 5 i.e. an increase of 22.10% compared to Day 2 event of Editor’s choice. We have 100% of the people rating the lecture above 3 which marks the event as beneficial to the attendees.
