On November 14, 2021, the final round of theGreen Environment Contest 2021 took placewith nine best teams from high schools inthree provinces: Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa andNinh Thuan. A large number of spectatorswatched the online final round through thecontest's official fanpage and Nha TrangUniversity's fanpage.

c he projects of this year's contest were evaluated to becrecreative, likely to create a great spread in thecommunity in order to raise awareness about protectingthe environment.

in the end, the organizers awarded the first prize ofththe contest to the Ecolution team from Le Quy DonHigh School for the Gifted (Khanh Hoa), with a prize of5,000,000 VND. The second prize belonged to SeaWorrior team from Nguyen Van Troi High School (KhanhHoa), with a prize of 3,000,000 VND. The third prize wasawarded to Truong Chinh 2 High School team (NinhThuan) and Vo Thi Sau High School team (Phu Yen), witha prize of 2,000,000 VND per team. Special prizes wereawarded to the rest teams with a prize of 1,000,000 VNDper team. In addition, the organizers also awarded sub-contests such as drawing infographics aboutenvironmental protection, drawing team’s t-shirt, etc.

T o prepare for the final round, the selected teamsimpimplemented a specific project for marineenvironment protection, which was funded by the contestorganizers. On November 14, each team took turn topresent their project and answered questions from thejudges. The competitors brought lively and enthusiasticpresentations about the project, along with photos andvideo clips recording their team's project implementationprocess.

On October 1, 2021 Faculty of Foreign Languages - Nha Trang University in collaboration with Department of Educationand Training of Khanh Hoa province held the Opening Ceremony of the contest "English Olympiad for high schoolstudents in Khanh Hoa province 2022" and the Launching Ceremony of English Talk Community Development Project inKhanh Hoa Province. The ceremony was organized virtually.

he English Talk Community DevelopmentProjProject in Khanh Hoa province wasintroduced at the ceremony. This project for thecommunity is founded and implemented by alllecturers and students of the Faculty of ForeignLanguages - Nha Trang University. The projectaims at supporting those who have difficulty inaccessing English language, diversifying -equalizing the study and future developmentopportunities between rich and poor people,developing an online education platform in the4.0 era. Beneficiaries of the project are childrenin the orphanages; poor students in particularand students at high schools in general; peoplefrom different sectors having difficulty inaccessing English language. The main activitiesof the project are to provide an online libraryof Anglo-American literature/culture andprofound humanities lessons for children;organize the contest "English Olympiad forhigh school students"; conduct Englishclasses for orphans through audio books.

The board of organizers officially opened the contest"English Olympiad for high school students in Khanh Hoaprovince 2022" - one of the main activities of the EnglishTalk Community Development Project in Khanh Hoaprovince. The contest is organized to create a healthyplayground for high school students in Khanh Hoa provinceto improve their English ability, encourage the Englishlearning in the era of international integration, and developa strong English talk community in the province.

T he contest is expected to take place from October2022021 to March 2022. It is sponsored by the USConsulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, Long Sinh Co., Ltd.,and Foreign Language Center - Nha Trang University. Theboard of examiners of the contest includes representativesof the Khanh Hoa Department of Education and Training,English teachers, and sponsors.

THE ENGLISH OLYMPIAD FOR HIGH SCHOOL

STUDENTS IN KHANH HOA PROVINCE IN 2022

T ccording to MoU, Nha Trang University willcoocooperate with FUNiX in designing andimplementing training programs of Informationtechnology; providing students with jobinformation after their graduation; offeringscholarships, equipping students with digitaltransformation skills. FUNiX will coordinate indesigning and implementing basic Informaticssubject according to the orientation and trainingroadmap of the University.

T ha Trang University will consider some basic courses ofFU FUNiX to include in the curriculum that can equipstudents with skills in the 4.0 era as well as some ITapplication programs for technical branches such as:Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering,Shipbuilding, Electrical and Electronic Engineering....Twoparties will coordinate to deploy a number of remoteonline training programs.

On October 7, 2021, Nha Trang Universityhad an online meeting and signed thecooperation agreement with FUNiX OnlineEducation Joint Stock Company (FUNiX).

SIGNING A COOPERATIONAGREEMENT WITH FUNIXONLINE EDUCATION JOINTSTOCK COMPANY

FUNiX Online Education Joint Stock Company is a unit of FPT Corporation, officially launched on October 13, 2015 andopened the first course on November 20, 2015. Starting with training bachelors and certificates in InformationTechnology, FUNiX is now expanding the scope of IT training as well as other industries.

Virtual internationalstudent symposium

i n order to promote close relationships betweenstustudents from India, China, the United States andVietnam, Evergreen State College organized an onlineInternational Student Symposium with the main theme"Ocean of Connections” on November 19, 2021.

Nearly 180 lecturers and students from Evergreen StateCollege, Aibas University (Mumbai, India), WuJi University(China) and Nha Trang University (Vietnam) attended thesymposium.

Within the framework of the symposium, the participantsdiscussed topics such as: Light and Darkness, Covid-19,Environmental crisis (Climate Change, Global warming),Mental Health and Emotional Well Being, EconomicDifficulties, Feminist Issues and Women's Rights.

Currently, while many countries still have to implementtravel restrictions to prevent the spread of Covid-19, thisonline conference not only helps students improvelanguage skills, but also enable them to meet each other,learn more about the culture and exchange points of view.

On October 3, 2021, the conference "Green Growthand Sustainable Development 2021" was held onlinewith the participation of nearly 550 delegates.

October 23, 2021, the national scientific seminar "Theimpact of Covid-19 on businesses - the perspective ofenterprises in the Central region" was successfullyorganized by the collaboration of Faculty ofEconomics, Faculty of Tourism and Faculty ofAccounting and Finance - Nha Trang University, andUniversity of Economics, University of Danang.

v he plenary session and three parallel sessions of theconconference created a forum for academic exchangeand experience sharing among researchers in the fieldsof economic, business and consumption behavior forsustainable economic development. The conferencepublished research results and discussed topics such as:green economic growth and its components;sustainable economic development; economics andmanagement of natural resources and theenvironment; and sustainable consumption behavior. Inaddition, scientists and managers were also veryinterested in and enthusiastically discussed topicsrelated to social problems solving in the developmentprocess such as hunger eradication, poverty reduction,job creation, security, society, and the impact of theCovid-19 epidemic, etc

Covid-19 pandemic on the economic development aswell as businesses of the whole country in general andbusinesses in the Central - Central Highlands region inparticular. The sharings of entrepreneurs vividlyreflected the difficulties and challenges that businesseswere facing, as well as the unlimited flexibility andcreativity they were implementing. The seminar was aforum for exchanges between universities andbusinesses in the Central region to jointly find solutionsto cope with the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic,maintain production and adapt to the new normal.

INNSA Project (Innovative and SmartAgriculture Platform: A DigitalTransformation and High TechnologyIntegration for improved Coffee ValueChain and Supply Chain in Vietnam)(Code: VINIF.2021.DA00047) sponsoredby Vingroup Innovation Fund (VinIF)will be led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. NguyenVan Duy, Institute of Biotechnologyand Environment, Nha TrangUniversity.

Dtthe project will create the INNSA platform, aninfrinfrastructure in the digital economic space of Vietnam'sagriculture, starting with coffee and then graduallyintegrating other crops and livestock. The INNSA platformwill have at least five main modules/ functions: onemanagement and digitalization module for the coffee valuechain and supply chain in Vietnam, one intergrated modulefor the traceability technology system, one module to applyartificial intelligence (AI) for supporting decision function onfarming and caring of coffee trees, one portal to introduceINNSA platform, and one online exchange of productsrelated to coffee. In addition, the project also trains PhDstudents and master’s students in the fields ofBiotechnology, Agriculture and Information Technology, aswell as publishing papers in Q1 prestigious internationaljournals.

D he project will be implemented for a period of threeyeayears, starting from December 2021. During the firstyear, the project starts to investigate, conduct field surveys,develop management systems and related databases, aswell as install IoT packages at coffee farms and standardstorage spaces of coffee. In the second year, the projectfocuses on big data analysis and processing with AIapplication for the INNSA platform to support the decisionfunction of farming and caring of coffee trees, and at thesame time developing a number of value-added productsfor the value chain and production chain of coffee. In thethird year, the project will integrate and perfect the datasystem and develop applications of the INNSA platform.

VINGROUP INNOVATION FOUNDATION SPONSORED INNSA PROJECT TO DEVELOP A SMART AND INNOVATIVEAGRICULTURAL PLATFORM FOR SUSTAINABLE COFFEE VALUECHAIN IN VIETNAM

D he INNSA project aims to develop an innovative andsmsmart agricultural platform for the sustainable coffeevalue chain, with a focus on enhancing quality andadded value for key elements of the coffee supply chainin Vietnam. The project is developed on the basis ofdigital transformation and smart agriculturaltechnologies: Smart devices and Internet of Things(IoT), Big data, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Blockchain andtraceability technology, Sustainable design &manufacturing. Such technologies aim to addresssustainability-related issues, in line with the UnitedNations' Sustainable Development Goals.

CttNNSA project members have experience in thefielfields of interdisciplinary and internationalcooperation, especially in the close connectionbetween universities and businesses. Themotivation of the INNSA project is to take theVietnam's coffee industry to a next level, to berecognized for its value, brand and sustainability,directly contributing to the ambition to developIndustry 4.0 in Vietnam in general as well as smartand sustainable agriculture in particular.

CONSOLATION PRIZE

he final round of the contest took place on December12,12, 2021 in two methods: a direct competition takingplace at Trinh Cong Son Hall, Van Lang University, Ho ChiMinh City and an online competition via the platform.zoom. The team of Nha Trang University participated inan online method with the topic in the final round:"Agricultural Product Logistics Center in the SouthCentral Coast and Central Highlands". The team won theconsolation prize with a score of 68.09/100.

STUDENTS OF NHA TRANGUNIVERSITY WON THE TITLE OFRUNNER-UP IN THE CHALLENGE WITH ERPSIMULATION GAMES 2021Cttthe challenge competition with ERPSimSimulation Games 2021 took place with 236student teams from universities across thecountry. The final round is a competition of thebest teams from 5 universities: Nha TrangUniversity, University of Economics and Law, HoChi Minh City, Yersin University of Da Lat, BankingUniversity of Ho Chi Minh City, Foreign TradeUniversity campus 2. ICCI team of Nha TrangUniversity includes members: Huynh Thi Tu Trinh,Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh, Nguyen Thi Kieu My, LeHuu Pho, Vo Tan Ngoc Nga, who are studentsmajoring in Auditing, Faculty of Accounting -Finance; The coach is Mr. Ngo Xuan Ban.

After hours of dramatic competition, the ICCI teamexcellently won the title of runner-up this year.

C trhe contest “Challenge with ERP Simulation Games2022021” (ERPSIM VIETNAM STUDENT FRIENDLY 2021)is organized by the University of Economics and Law,Vietnam National University HCMC (UEL) and itspartners, to create a academic playground thatcontribute to the enhancement of professionalknowledge about the role of Enterprise ResourcePlanning (ERP) systems in digital transformation forstudents in business and management. Participating inERP Simulation Games 2021, the teams can experiencethe same business processes and strategies as inreality at businesses. Through the competition rounds,players can perform roles from operations in businessareas: purchasing, sales, production, accounting,information management... to the role of a leader inpredicting and decision-making.

Student Nguyen Hong KimThoa (Faculty of Accounting and Finance, Nha Trang University) was one of the 30 best candidatesin this year's contest to be honored and awarded at the ceremony.

d Jn 2021, university’s employment rate after 12 months of graduation in many majors of Nha Trang Universityisssis still quite high despite being heavily affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

According to a survey done by the University in 2021, many majors have a relatively high rate of employmentafter 12 months of graduation such as Aquatic Pathology (100%), Aquaculture (70%), Seafood processingTechnology (>88%), Information Technology (72%), Environmental Engineering (>77%), Accounting (>72%),Auditing (75%)… Overall average of graduate employment of university students in 2021 is more than 60%. Thisresult is considered quite positive amid the complicated development of the pandemic over the past year,causing difficulties for the socio-economic situation in Vietnam.

The University has also flexibly converted forms of online internships, online exchanges, online job fairs, builtmobile-applications to connect businesses and students to support students to access jobs easily in today'scontext.
