Starting the GameFollowingsuccessful installation, launch theprogrambyselectingStart/All Pro-grams/Steam/TransRoad: USA in the Windows Start menu or via the correspond-ingicononthedesktop.

Ifyouencounter securitymessageswhen launching theautostartmenuonWin-dows7,Windows8orWindows10,pleasenotethatitissafetorunthe„setup.exe“or“redeem.exe”program.

UninstallationSelect Start/Settings/Control Panel/Softwareandchoosethe„TransRoad: USA“entry.ThenclickontheAdd/Removebutton.Theprogramitself,aswellasfilesandgamedata,willthenbeuninstalled.

HQ placementSelectacitytoplaceyourheadquarters.Youwillgetmoredetailedinformationontheresidentclientsbeforecommittingtoacity.

Theresidentclientsdeterminewhatcontractswillbeavailabletoyoufromthestart.Compare cities and see which one provides you with the most clients that use your chosentrailer.

ThelocalTradeAreawillalwaysoffercontractstoyouwithoutpreconditions,ifyouchoosethatcity.IfyoupickedtheReefertrailerconcession,thelocalfarm(ifapplica-ble)willdothataswell.Youneedtounlockotherclientstogetcontractsfromthem.

ContractsAcontracthasastartandendclient.Youcanonlyacceptacontractifyouhaveunlockedthestartclient.Tounlockaclient,collectreputationbycompletingcon-tractsforwhichtheythemselvesaretheendclient.

Thecontract list is subdivided into thedifferent trailer types.Remember thatnoteveryclienthasoutputfreightforeverytrailer!ArecyclingclientforexampleonlyhascontractsforDumptrailers.

The transported freight isdirectly linked to theamountofpaymentyouget.Thehighervaluedafreightis,thehigherthepayment.Thetrailertypealsoinfluencesthepayment,withDryVanbeingthelowestandCarthehighest.

Acontract’ssizeisdeterminedbytheamountoftripsyouhavetomakewithyourtrucks.Pertrip,yougetaspecifiedpaymentuponarrival.

If youdeliver thewhole contracton time, yougeta completionbonusaswell,whichcanbeveryhigh.Andyougetreputationatboththestartandtheendclient.Theamountofreputationisdisplayedatthetooltip’stop.

Ifyoucan’tmeet thedeadline,youwillget reducedpayments forall late trips.Youwon’tgetthecompletionbonus.Youwon’tgetanyreputation,butwilllosereputationforeachdaydelayed.

Eventually,thecontractwillbecancelledbytheclientifyouaremuchtoolate.Apenaltyfeewillbedeductedifthishappens.So,stayaware!

Acontract’stooltipshowsthedurationofasingletripandtheloading/unloadingduration,andthushowmanytrucksareneeded,dependingontherig’sspeed.Youcanalwaysusemoretruckstobeonthesafeside.

Acceptacontractbydraggingitintoaschedule.

Tip: To unlock a client, click on this client and switch the contract list to “Show contracts: HERE”. This way, you will see all contracts that lead to this client and so make increasing your reputation with this particular company easier.

SchedulesDragcontracts intoa schedule toacceptand fulfill them.A schedulewill openautomaticallywhenyouhoveroveritwhileyoudragacontract.Signtheschedulebyclickingonthecheckmark.Oncesigned,thedeadlinewillcountdownandyouareobligedtofulfillit.

Ifyoudragmorecontractsintoaschedule,theywillbeexecutedstep-by-step:onetripofthefirst,thenonetripofthesecond,andsoon.Emptytripsbetweenthemandbacktothestartcanhappen.Theydon’tearnyouanymoney,sotrytoavoidemptytrips!

Ascheduleneedstohaveidenticaltrailertypes.Youcan’tdragaReefercontractintoaDryVanschedule,forexample.Andyoucan’tassignReefertruckstoaDryVancontract.

Toassignatrucktoacontract,dragacompleterig(truck+trailer+driver)fromthetruckfleetpanelontoacontract.Thetruckfleetpanelcanbeopenedontheverytop-left.Justaswithcontracts,aschedulewillopenautomaticallywhenyouhoveroveritwhileyoudragatruck.

Eachtruckwilldrivebyitselffromcontracttocontract.Ifthereisnomorefreighttobedelivered,itwillskipthenextcontract.Eventually,itwillreturntothenearestdepotandwaitforneworders.

Youcanalwayscheckhowmanytruckscurrentlyexecuteonecontractbylookingatthetruckamountjustabovethecontractinaschedule.Clickonacontracttogetadetailedlistofalltrucksthatarecurrentlyassignedtothiscontract.

Todeleteacontractfromaschedule,cancelitbyclickingontheXbuttoninthetop-rightofacontract.Itwillgointothetrashbinstrip,wheremultiplecontractscanbecancelledatonce.Youhavetoconfirmthecancellationbyclickingonthecheckmark.Apenaltyfeewillbedueimmediately!

Advanced:Tore-arrangecontractsinaschedule,dragthemtotheirnewposi-tionandconfirmthechangesbyclickingthecheckmark.

Advanced: To drag a contract from one schedule into another schedule, start theswitchmodebyclickingon thedoublediamond-shapedbutton. Itwillopenasecondschedulestripthatyoucanusetoswitchcontractsaround.Confirmthechangesbyclickingonthecheckmark.

Advanced:Ifyouwanttore-assignatruckfromonecontracttoanotherimmedi-ately,firstclickonthecontractthetruckiscurrentlyassignedto.Thecontract’strucklistwillopenontheleft.Fromthere,dragthetrucktothenewcontractasusual.

CitiesClickonacitytogetinfoaboutit.Inthetopsection,youcanlaunchmarketingcampaignsonceyouhaveunlockedmarketing.Marketingcampaignsgrantrepu-tationmultipliersinthemarketedcities.

To unlock marketing, you need to level up to Rank 2 and upgrade your headquar-terstolevel2.YoucandothisbyclickingonyourHQonthemapandthenusetheupgradebuttoninthelower-right.

Inthebeginning,youonlyknowyourlocalclients.Visitothercitiesandclientstomeetanddiscoverthem!Youvisitacitywhenatruckdriverunloadstheirfirstfreightthere.

ClientsCollectreputationbyfulfillingcontractsontime.OnceyoucollectenoughforLevelI,youunlocktheclientandgetthefirstcontractsfromthem.

Clickonaclienttogetinformationaboutthem.Thetopsectionshowstheclient’sreputationbar:Insidethebar,yourreputationpointsaredisplayed,andbelowaretheclient’sunlocklevelsandhowmuchreputationtheselevelsneed.

Allclientshavefour levels.Thehigher thelevel, themorevaluablefreightsgetun-locked,thebiggerthecontractsget,andthefartherawaythecontractscanleadyou.

Atthemaximumlevel,youunlockrecurringcontractsofthatclient.Recurringcon-tracts last foreverand requireaweeklyquota tobe fulfilled.Youwillonly loserecurringcontractswhentheclient’sleveldrops.

Ifyoudelivercontractslatetoorfromaclient,youwilllosereputationwitheachdaylate.Thiscanleadtoaleveldecrease!Thisdelayisindicatedbyaclockiconontheclientmarkeronthemap.

Belowthereputationbar,youcanseetheclient’sinputandoutput.Inputfreightsare all freights that can unlock this client because they lead you here.Outputfreights are all freights you will be able to deliver from here after unlocking the client.Keepinmindthateachinputoroutputfreightcanrequireadifferenttrailer!

TheTradeAreaandtheFarm(ifapplicable)inyourHQcityarealreadyunlocked.Allotherclientshaveoneormoreestablishments.

DrivingcontractsforBarnsGroceriesforexamplewillonlybringyoureputationatBarnsGroceries–notatotherFoodFactories.

TrucksAtruck’smostimportantcharacteristicisitsaxles:Whetheratruckcanpullatrailerdependsontheaxleweight.If theweightistoobig,thetruckcanonlydriveatlowerspeed.Andsometrailerscan’tbepulledby2-axletrucksatall.

The horsepower determines speed uphill, since the maximum allowed speed of 55 mphcanbeachievedbyeverytruck.

Thefueleconomyshowshowmanymilespergallonitcango(orhowmanylitersitconsumesper100km).

Fixedcostsincludecarwash,insurance,taxesandsupplies.Fixedcostsarehigherfortruckswithmoreaxles.

Clickingonatruckopensthetruckinfopanel.Hereyoucanswitchtothetruckcameramodetofollowit,andlookatalltruckstats.

Thefirstpageshowsyouthetruck’smaintenancestatus.Afteracertainamountofmilesdriven,youshouldsendthetruckformaintenance.Theolderthetruckis,themoreoftenthisisnecessary.

Maintenancecanbeexecutedineverytruckshop.Dragatruckfromthemaporfromatrucklistontoatruckshoponthemaptosenditthereformaintenance.Ifthetruckhasfreightloaded,itwillfirstdeliveritandthengotomaintenance.

Ifyoudon’tsendittomaintenancewhenit’sdue,thetruckcanhaveabreakdown.Repairing a breakdown is much more expensive and takes longer than regular maintenance,andthetruckwilldriveveryslowlytothenexttruckshop.

Ontheotherthreepages,youcanlookintofinancialstats,technicalstatsandtriviastatsaboutthetruck.

TrailersWithinonetrailertype,trailersareinterchangeable.Theyallcostthesame,havethesamefixedcostsandcantransportthesameamountoffreight.

In thebeginning,youonlyhavethechosenstart trailerconcession.Youarenotallowedtoacceptanyothercontracts.Buymoreconcessionsinyourheadquartersto get access to them!

Advanced:Atrailer’spriceisdeterminedbythecurrenttransportpricelevels:Forexample, ifDryVancontractsarebooming,DryVan trailershaveahigherprice when purchasing or selling!

Truck ShopYouneedtobuytrucksfromthevarioustruckshopsallaroundthecountry.

Inatruckshop,youcanbuytrucksandtrailers.Oncebought,youneedtosendthemtoadepotwith freeslots.Thesefreedepotslotsdetermineyourfleetmaximumwhichyoucanseeinthetop-centerHUD:Youcan’tbuymoretrucksandtrailersthanyourfleetmaximum.

Atruckisnothingwithoutapropertrailertocarrythefreight!Youcanbuytrailersfromthesameoranyothertruckshopbyselectingthetrailerbutton.Thereyoucanbuytrailersofalltypes.

Afterbuyingnewvehicles, theywilldrive to the selecteddepot.Open thefleetmanagerinordertoassignadriver.

Truck fleetThetruckfleetpanelshowsyouallyourtrucks,onlybusytrucksoronlyidletrucks.Busytrucksareassignedtoacontract.

Toassignatrucktoacontract,dragitfromhereontoacontract.Anidletruckwillstartdirectly.Ofcourse,youcan’tassignReefertrucksforexampletoaDryVan

contract.Abusytruckwillfinishitscurrenttripifithasfreightloaded,andthenworkonthenewcontract.

Idletrucksarewaitinginoneofyourdepotsorarejustreturningthere.Thelatterhavealittlemovingtireiconnexttothem.

Thus,theidlelistalsoshowsyouallofyourdepots,ifyouhavemultipledepots.Tomanagethewholefleetandalldepots,openthefleetmanager.

Forall or busy trucks, you can select a few sortingoptions.Dependingon thesortingoption,youwillgetdetailsaboutthetrucks’stats.

To send a truck to maintenance, drag it from here onto a truck shop marker on the map.Zoomoutfirstifyoucannotseethedestination.

Trucks that currently have a breakdown or are in maintenance cannot be dragged andareblack.

Advanced: To transfer a single trailer, single truck or whole rig from one depottoanotherdepot,dragitfromhereontothedestinationdepotmarkeronthemap.Youcanincreasetheamountofslotsineachdepot.Doingsowillincreaseyourfleetmaximum,andyoucanbuymoretrucks–beforebuyingawholenewdepot!

HeadquartersClickonyourheadquarterstogetinfoaboutit.EnteryourHQbyclickingonthetopbutton.YoucanalsoenteritviatheHUDbuttononthetop-left.

YoucanupgradeyourHQifyoumeettherankrequirements.

Thecompanyvalueconsistsofyourbankaccount,yourfleetvalueandyourdepotvalue.Itdeterminesyourplaceintheratinglistamongothertruckingcompanies,anditimpactshowhighyouroverdraftloanis.

Atthebottom,youhaveanoverviewofyourweeklyfixedcosts.Theyaredeductedautomatically.

Depots

Thefleetmanagershowsyouallyourbusytrucksandallyouridletrucksorganizedinyourdepots.

Onceyoumeettherankrequirements,youcanevenupgradeadepottoamainte-nancedepot.Thisallowsyoutodomaintenanceinyourdepots,whichischeaperthanintruckshops.

Afullyfunctionalrigneedsatruck,atrailerthatcanbepulledbythistruck,andadriver.Openyouridlestafflistbyclickingthedrivercapbuttoninthetop-right.Assignadriverbydraggingthemontothedriverslotnexttothetruck.Adrivershouldhavethecorrectlicenseforthistrailer.Otherwise,penaltyfeesmayariseifthetruckiscaughtduringlicensecontrol.

MarketingIfyouwanttospeedthingsup,usemarketingcampaigns!Clickonacitytostartamarketingcampaignthere.

Marketingcampaignscanbelaunchedforindividualcities.Thefurtherdownthelist,themoreeffectiveamarketingcampaignproductis.UnlocknewproductsintheHQmenuvia“UpgradeMarketing”.

Pickacampaignanddragitintothebottompanel,justlikeyouwouldacontract.

Marketing campaigns give you a reputation multiplier for contracts on time, while amalusmultiplierforbeinglateisactiveaswell.Launchacampaigninthecityofa client you want to unlock faster!

Selectthedurationwiththebottomslider.Thelongerthecampaignthecheapereachweekgets.Andfinallylaunchthecampaigninthetop-rightofthepanel.Thetotalcostswillbedeductedimmediately.

Currentlyactivemarketingcampaignscanbeseeninthecityinfopanel.

RankLevelinguponerankrequiresvariousmilestones.Onceallrequirementsaremet,theleveluphappensautomatically.

Leveluprankstounlockmoretrailerconcessions,depotsandotherspecialfeatures.

Concessions

Trailer concessions allow you to use trailers legally, and to receive contracts of the respectivetrailertype.

Youcanbuyandusetrailerswithoutaconcession,but if a truck gets caught by the police, severe pen-altyfeeswilloccur.Ifyourepeatthisillegalbehav-ior, the trailer concession will even be revoked!

Select a trailer concession to learn more about it: What its characteristics are and what clients provide freight for this trailer, telling you where you can get contracts forthistrailer.

The further down the list a trailer concession is, the higher its contract payments are.Buymoreconcessionsbycollectingmoneyandlevelingupranks!

AlltrailersexceptDryVanandReeferneeddriverlicensestobeusedlegally.Youcan assign drivers without the respective license to a truck, but if they get caught bythepolice,penaltyfeeswilloccur.

LoansTherearetwotypesofloan:Anoverdraftloan,whichyoualwayshave,andterm-basedloanswhichyoucanactivelytakeout.

Bothloanamountsaredeterminedthroughyourcompanyvalue:Itconsistsofyourbankaccount,yourfleetvalueandyourdepotvalue.

Anoverdraftloanmeansthatyoucangointothereduptoacertainamount.Be-ware that interest will be due at the end of the month if you go into the red!

Ifyouexceedtheoverdraftloanlimitfor15consecutivedays,itwillbegameover!

Ifyouareinthered:Makemoneyquickly!Sell trucksortrailers,finishlucrativecontracts,ortakeoutaterm-basedloan.

Tip:Youshouldcheckyourincomeandexpenses.Youmighthavehiredtoomanyexpensivedriversthatyouactuallydon’tneed,orhavetoomanytrucksthatareunder-worked.Ifyouhaveexpensive4-axletrucks,youshouldn’tusethemforlow-priceDryVancontracts,forexample.

Aterm-basedloangrantsyoumoneyimmediately.Thelongertheloan’sduration,thelowerthemonthlyrates.Additionally,youcanpayitoffanytimetosaveinterest.

DriversInyourHQ,youcanhirenewdriversorfireexistingones.

Drivers can have multiple licenses and have higher salary expectations the more licensestheyhave.LicensesareneededforalltrailersexceptDryVanandReefer.Licensescan’tbeboughtfordriversretrospectively;theyonlyhavethelicensestheyappliedwith.

Newapplicationscome inabout three timesamonth.Themorereputationyouhavealloverthecountry,themoreapplicationsyouwillreceive.

Toassigndrivers to trucks,openthefleetmanageranddragthedriver into thedesiredslot.

Upgrade marketingYoucanupgradeyourmarketingdepartment.Thismeansthatyoucanunlockmorevaluable,powerfulcampaignproducts.Tounlockyouneedreputationalloverthecountry,andmoney.

Themorecampaignproductsyouunlock,themorefixedcostswilladdup.Besureto use campaigns frequently to put those costs to good use!

CompetitorsWhenstartingagame,youcanchooseifyouwanttoplaywithcompetitors.Theydon’tthreatenyou.ButthereisaTop10RatingListintheHUDatthetopthatshowsyouyourperformancecomparedtoallcompetitors.

Youcancontactcompetingtruckingcompaniestotrytotakethemover.

They will send you their company details, and then you have to decide how much moneyyouwanttoofferthemforatakeoverdeal.

Rememberthatyoucanundercutyourcompetitor’scompanyvalue!Dependingonthecurrenttransportpricelevels,thecompetitor’scompanymightnotbeworththatmuch.

Oncethedealisaccepted,youwillgetalltheirtrucks,trailers,depots,andallthedriversthatwanttobere-employedbyyou.

Transport price levelsYoucantakealookatthetransportpricelevelsofalltrailertypes.Thehigheracurveis,thehigherthecontractpaymentsare.

The more freight you deliver with a trailer, the more the transport price levels will drop.Afterall,youkeepdriving freight for theclients, sowhyshould theypaymore?Vice versa, themore youneglecta trailer, thehigher the curvewill go,becauseclientshavetomakethosefreightsmoreattractive.

Ifaneconomicboomorcrisisoccurs,therespectivecurvewillchangeevenmoredrastically.Sucheventscanlastforuptotwomonths,soyoureallyshouldconsiderswitchingfromthistrailertoanother.

Lastly,trailerpricesaredeterminedbythecurrenttransportpricelevels:If,forex-ample,DryVancontractsarehavingaboom,DryVantrailershaveahigherpricewhen purchasing or selling!
